Are you all caught up with the series so far?
How many of the books have you read?
Did you like them?
How did you discover the Dexter Series?

I read the first one and I liked it.

I watched the TV series so that's how I heard of the series.

A Friend recomended the books even though he'd only watched the TV series, but he knows i like to read so he figured id like the books better

yeah the first book is similar to the first season except the end then i hear the tv series went off on its own

yeah my friend told me its because they only bought the rights to the first book thats y thats the one thats similar and although there is alot of the same characters the show is pretty different

the writers on the staff have to do something i guess

I must say Micheal C. Hall is amazing as Dexter

Hi Thank you for the invite! I've read the first 3 books, and I have watched the first 3 seasons on tv, I am patiently waiting to borrow season 4 from a friend. :)

Mayra, I have enjoyed both, They are quite a bit different, I was quite surprised how season 3 ended, I was not ready for it. That being said I am not sure how far behind I am with reading the series, or if the tv series has taken certain liberties.

Yeah I started watching the series after id read the first to and by the time I watched season 3 and 4 I had already read those books and I was really surprised at how different they are. But I've enjoyed both. Right now I just need to read the most recent one double Dexter.

I need to read the last 2, just need to wait for the call from the library :)

Thanks Mayra for the invite , I have only read the first book so far and seen the first season on DVD , I really like this series . I discovered the series though a friend of mine since I do not get the channel Dexter is on (darn) .

no problem i hope to get it going and finding more dexter fans, since i didnt find a dexter group when i searched, so i decided to make one...

:D That's a good idea ! I will be working on the 2nd book soon !

yeah when i finally caught up and started watching the show the 1st 4 seasons were out, the 1st 2 were on netflix and i speed through them. yeah i guess they can only have him do so much, i wonder how long the books will go for.
