1. The Spymaster's Lady 4*
2. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children 2.5* I know many people who loved this book, and it was nominated as best of the year for goodreads but I just couldn't get into it. I would set it down for days and move on to something else or stare blankly at it without moving forward for hours. I really wanted/expected something great, but this was just OK to me. Felt a little derivative of many other things I've seen/read.
3. The Scandals of an Innocent

4. Chasing Fire
5. Savor the Danger
6. When You Dare
7. Trace of Fever
8. Drew in Blue
9. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
February Books:
10. The Next Always
11. Be My Texas Valentine
Christy, I have a new position at work and you would think that it is the end of the world! I am having so much trouble reading it's nearly comical!

I'm having trouble with more than just reading! I keep thinking I've updated my posts only to realize it's been over a month! Wow, hopefully I've been there long enough I can get back into my groove.
Hope you are liking the new job!

12. A Discovery of Witches - 5 stars. Loved the start to this series. I was so annoyed when I realized it will be months before I can read the next book! A more grown up magical world.
13. Dreaming of Mr. Darcy - 4 stars. A very enjoyable chick lit book. Looking forward to more from this author.
14. Sweet Possession - 4 stars
15. The Darkest Hour - 3 stars
16. Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy - 4 stars. Another enjoyable entry in the Gallagher Girls series. I so wish they would make this a TV show - like Gossip Girl or Pretty Little Liars.
17. The Ideal Man - 3 stars. Not the best Julie Garwood I've ever read, but an enjoyable romance.
18. A 21st Century Courtesan - 2 stars. Meh.
19. The Duke Is Mine - 3.5 stars. Cute entry in Eloisa James Fairy Tales series.

Beautiful Creatures - 4 stars - I really enjoyed this first entry in this series. It was a fun read about a witch who is in a relationship with a mortal. As with most teen novels there is a lot of angst but overall an enjoyable book.
Shadow of Night -4 stars - this was the 2nd in the All Souls Trilogy. It had some really great parts, but at time it seemed like the author got so excited about her time traveling that she felt it necessary to introduce you to everyone interesting in that timeline, so it dragged in places. If she had edited a bit and kept to the plot points it would have been a 5 star read.
Delirium - 4 stars - A very different take on a YA love story. The premise is that emotions, love in particular, are a disease that can now be cured by a surgery that everyone is required to have at 18. The lead character meets a boy who from an "Invalid" community of uncured people and they fall in love.
Happy new year all!
