So this is the town of Ducove. For years shape-shifters have lived here under the protection of their sacred crystal, the Ruby Sphere. It's hidden deep in the towns catacombs, protected by thousands of traps that are triggered only by shape-shifters.
To be a Shape-shifter is to be cursed. Or blessed. Depending upon the person, each gift is different. For some they transform into wild creatures, dangerous and beautiful such as a lion or a falcon. For others they are handicapped, unable to control when they shift and transformed into seemingly usless creatures such as a butterfly or fish.
There is one more group. A select group of those who can change into other shifters. Becoming one person to the next. They are very rare and treated as royalty. (Only mods or mod approved)
Finally there is the legend. A group of 5 who will lead Ducove to freedom, ending the curse of being forced to share your soul with that of an animal.
One by one the strong shall fall, For only five will be strong enough to answer the call. Fire will rise and the streets will flood, power that once resided in the dragon's blood. The girl of both water and land will discover the place, Where the crystal once laid. The loved lost and the hated found, With the tiger's roar an end will come. And only when a wolf's last stand comes, shall peace come to all.
