I live in Levin, NZ and this is my official author bio:
Colleen Mitchell resides in Levin, New Zealand. She has a grown daughter and two young grandaughters, to which she is devoted. She and her daughter share a life-long passion for horses and dogs. Colleen writes fast-paced romance/adventure novels with a distinctly New Zealand flavour. Watch for a cameo appearance of Toby, the horse, in every novel she writes. He is an old and much loved four-legged-friend who appears in a minor role in every one of her novels.
I will use this thread to keep you all updated on the progress of my books, some of which are published, and some of which are 'in the works'.

Isabelle's Locket was published in 2010. It is a time/travel adventure novel set in Foxton in 1920/2010.

THE AMAZING ADVENTURE OF AMBER AND APRIL is hot off the presses.
It is a childrens story for 5-9 year olds about two little pixies on an adventure in Sunshine Forest to help their friend Fantail.
It also features a Kiwi, a Morepork, and two flower sprites.
Join Amber and April on a journey through the dark and scary Tangled Wood, to the magical Fairy Pool where Fantail's broken wing can be mended.
Inspired by my two grand-daughters, Amber and April, this story aims to teach young ones the importance of love, loyalty and minding your parents.

Unbroken Promises is scheduled for release in 2012. It is set in NZ in 1899 and follows the fortunes of Blake Short, a young man with a talent for healing horses.
When Blake meets a family being dominated by a violent and abusive man named Walt he can't just do nothing, can he? Even when helping this family will see him branded as a criminal and on the run with four stolen children in tow.

This book is scheduled for release in mid 2012.
It is aimed for 1-4 year olds, and, as the title implies, a young boy discovers a dinosaur under his bed.
This book aims to help children with a fear of the dark.
It is written in rhyme, with beautiful full-page pictures by Karen Daly.

Due for release late 2012, the second book in the Amber/April series aims to teach young ones the importance of not judging others by looks alone.
