I think I do, but when we're at school we don't have time for "deep" conversations like these that I am good at discussing.

Jena | 124 comments well I'm talking mainly about diction and how you phrase the words...

message 4: by Myke (new)

Myke (SarahPalin) | 183 comments Well... I talk pretty much how I do in real life... there are some big differences though:

-Often I will put prepositions on the ends of sentences when I shouldn't (I tend not to do that in writing).
-I am given more time to choose words on here. So in person, my diction isn't as unique as it is on here (not that my diction is great on here... I am just making a comparison)...

And, Jena, when you say "I was just thinking...what if i actually talked like this in person?" ...what do you mean? The way you write on here seems pretty casual...
I don't know...

message 5: by Jena (new)

Jena | 124 comments well yes, it is pretty casuall. However, when I'm typing i'll attempt to make my responce sound more sophisticated (although that does't usually work out) then they normally would.

It was just a thought :)

PS: you seem to use pretty good diction in your responses. however i have never heard you in person so I dont know what i'm comparring to.

Sarah | 24 comments We were just talking about that before 5th period today - how sometimes people act a bit more boldly online then they do in real life. Why do you think that is?

message 8: by Jena (new)

Jena | 124 comments oh yes. I mentioned this question to john and bekah earlier in class :)

message 9: by Josh (new)

Josh | 164 comments Hmmm... well in person, few people have talked to me and lived, so yeah. I would say that I talk differently on the interweb than in person. (Fewer stabbing motions...)

message 10: by Michael (new)

Michael Bouterse | 79 comments So, Josh, if I write you this post, have I just added another slash mark to your monitor?

Myke (SarahPalin) | 183 comments Haha... interweb... I believe, Josh, that the proper name for it is the intertube. (and I believe that senator actually refers to the internet as "the intertube." ... I could be wrong though.)

message 12: by Josh (new)

Josh | 164 comments There are many way to refer to the internet

It's quite difficult to hold a knife while typing, so I am not able to stab the screen.
