Maze discussion

The middle of the maze. Its a humongous pool of lava/fire. Creatures come out of here and drag you in.

Caleb and Jem stumbled into this next part of the maze. Which, was of course, worse than the last one.

((TADA!!!!!!!!!!!!))

Jemfelt the begining of uneasiness. The pill was slowly wearing off. "Wow, this looks like...Well, hell..."

"I must agree," Caleb muttered. He tucked his hands in the pockets of his black jacket. "It does not look inviting."

"Shizz, Id almost just rather jump in the friggin river!" His eyes widened when he thought he saw a demon

Caleb gripped the handle of his knife,"This is going to be much harder to get out of."

The lava pit burned his eyes, and he had to wince and look away. "Ugh...This is torture..." He stepped forward, painfully.

Caleb took an even step with Jem and held his hand,"Well... that's what the monsters are.. here for?"

Jem glared at him. "Oh shizz. Youre right. But...I dont wanna be tortured by an incubis!!! They'll make me do gross things!!! Ewww!!!" He buried his head in Caleb's shoulder. "I only want you, anyways. In that way..." He knew he was blabbering.

Caleb slipped an arm around him and kissed the top of his head. "I promise that I won't let it happen."

((AGH...... pinatas))

"T-thank you. You wont let any of them near my zipper, then?" He said, totally serious. He was truly afraid of a demon tempting him into an actlike that.

((Whats up?))

"Nope, maybe myself, but not one of them," he replied.

((Just... family crap))

Jem giggled. "Oh, is that what I have to look forward to when we finish this whole maze, then?"

((It's just my mom, always has been... but it's driving me crazy......... She told me, to my face, a couple days ago, that she doesn't care. I bit my lip, turned around, ran upstairs, and started to cry... then something else that happened today, that made me slightly upset too))


"Hmmmmmmmm.... maybe," he replied thoughtfully.

((Im sorry, darling! What happened?))

Jem rolled his eyes and looked off. "Well, best get going then?" He took a step forward and broke into a sweat. "Damn, its hot..."

((she got mad at me... for a couple of grades that I got... which I studied for, but obviously didn't understand......and yah... lots of "f" word usage on her part))


Caleb ran a hand through his own hair and stared at the pit,"How in the world are we going to get past that, without vaporizing or getting killed?!"

((*sigh* Thats hard to deal with, and I understand that frustration for you. When she does that, how does that make you feel? Obviously, you dont like it...But, when she does it, how do you feel and how do you react?))

"I wish I beought sunscreen..." He groaned. "Ugh....Maybe we can walk around it...?"

((It's very upsetting... I mean like... I want to cry, but I can't. I sit there and cringe everytime she shifts or moves, terrified that she might hit me again. Most of the time, I sit in silence, because I can't talk. ))

"Maybe," he replied. "But we'd run into a lot of monsters Jem."

((Ive found that with parents, its best to nod and say nothing. You can cry, scream, and vent all you want on your own. You just cant let them see that. Im sorry that happened...Im glad you talked to me. Anything else?))

"Thats better than burning alive..." Or maybe it wasnt...

"Well, maybe," he said. "Let's go then," he let go of Jem reluctantly and started walking.

((Oh, anytime. It makes me feel like a psychologist, and I get to help out you! I should be the one saying thank you! Lol))

Jem took off in a fast paced walk, charging ahead away from the heat. His head began to throb and his vision began to blur again. You cant let it change you. Stop.

Caleb paused,"Jem? Are you alright?" He looked concerned.

((Anytime, Clari is here! Hope I helped...a little...))

He blinked several times, and nodded. "Yeah, right now im fine. And yourself?"

((You did! Actually, you made me feel a lot better. O.o))

"I'm okay if you're okay," he replied.

((Yay!))

"Then, we're both...decent?" He said, nose wrinkling. They were almost halway across. "I dontthink its as big as it seems.... Weird..."

A monster came out of nowhere.

((YESH! I love to hear that, cuz people always doubt me. Like, when I was 8 I told my mom I wanted to be an underwater acrobat, and she's all like 'Dude. Thats dont goingto work out. Youre too tall and cirque peeps have been doing that since before they could walk. You arent even flexible!'...and I cried...lol...so im glad im good at something))

Jem threw his knife at it, and hit it in the head. "Booya!!!"

((XD I'm sure you'll achieve your dream my dear. Just takes practice and patience, even when people doubt you))

Caleb laughed and the monster disentegrated,"Nice shot Jem."

((Yes, you are correct.))

He did a little happy dance. "Who is awesome now?!?! MOI!!!" His yelling attracted another monster

((8D YAY! I got something right! *rejices*))

Caleb clamped a hand over his mouth. "Not now! You can rejoice later, monster attracter." He kissed his cheek and threw his knife at the monster.

((Teehee, you're a lot of the time, Kaylee!))

Jem blushed, and did a summer sault across the ground to retrieve his knife. Once on the ground, he crawled over to the monster and stabbed it in the foot

((*shrugs* Sometimes))

Caleb smiled and hit the monster again, and it dispersed.

((No, a lot. You're righter than I am))

He pulled himself from the floor, to stand by Caleb. "Okay, we really gotta go...like, pronto..." He grabbed his hand andstartedrunning

Caleb ran after him, Jem was obviously scared.

They reached the other side

Caleb caught his breath,"Dude! You run really fast for... a person like you."

"A person like me? What does that mean?" He asked, haughtily.

HE shrugged,"Actually.... because your hot."

"Oh, hot people cant run?" He said, pushing back his bangs. "Thats a bit of a stereotype, aint it?"

Caleb blushed,"Maybe so... but in general...." He paused,"Oh shut up!" He leaned over and kissed him.

He grinned wickedly. "I love it when you get like this. All hot and bothered..." He didnt let thekiss last long. To be honest, he was saving himself for something bigger with Caleb, atthe endof the maze

Caleb blushed again and shifted nervouslym"W-well... ummm..."

"On to the next part?"

"I assume so," he replied.
