Jackson parked and opened Dannys door for her.

Danny nodded "Thank you"

Jackson nodded and lead her inside. Once seated at a table he smiled, "Since we were never rpoperly introduced, Im Jackson."

Danny held back blush "Danielle--but maybe one day you can call me Danny." she said with a smirk (van Alan's?)

Jackson nodded, "All right, i'll wait paitiently for the day I get to call you Danny." He smiked kindly as the waitor came to orxer their drinks. He smiled and ordered a coke.

Danny smiled "water please." she looked back at Jackson "so Jackie boy--"

Jackson laughed, "Jackie boy? Alright, sure. What were you saying?" he smiled broadly unable to help his good mood.

Danny shrugged as she watched the waiter put the cup down, she felt her heart race with an upcoming change and quickly grabbe two of the pills before swallowing them. She looked back to him "doctor huh? Pretty sexy." she stated simply

Jackson laughed, "Yeah right, now you're just trying to be nice." he took a sip of his coke, "So what do you shift into?"

Danny blushed before wincing "a kitten-- I'm cursed" she muttered

Jackson nodded, "I turn into a fish. Im cursed too." he shrugged and took another swallow of coke.

Danny's eyes widened "your cursed?" she whispered, feeling so much more relaxed "how does that work? Wouldnt you die!"

Jackson shook his head, "At first i had to spend all of my life in a bathtub, but I learned to control the urges. Just because I shift doesnt mean I cant know of it. I can usually hold off the shift for an hour or so, until I can get to water."

Danny nodded slowly "that makes sense" she ordered a tiny salad. Danny rarely ate. "that sucks that you had to go though that. So why'd you want to be a doctor?"

Jackson shrugged, "I wanted to help people. Are you sure your not hungry?"

Danny nodded "positive...." she messe with the hem of her dress, she didnt know how to talk to people

Jackson nodded, "Do you want to go then? We could just go for a walk."

Danny shook her head "no no, it's alright. I don't eat much" she shrugged and nervously took a drink of her water.

Jackson frowned, "Why not? Are you sick?" he frowned, worried for her.

Danny frowned "why would I be sick?" she rolled her eyes "I'm just not very hungry. No big deal" she shrugged and popped another pill "what are you eating?"

Jackson shrugged, "Steak." He raised a brow, "You take those so you wont shift."

Danny nodded "congratulations, you finally figured it out....." she sighed "I hate shifting and these suppress it....it helps"

Jackson sighed, "How long have you been doing this? You know that shifting is a way of healing for your soul. If you dont shift you can risk the animal half attempting to devour your own soul, making you stuck in shifted form."

Danny sighed and messed with her fork "a few weeks, I still shift.....when the desire is to great....but I can usually hold it back with these." she bit her lip knowing he'd hate the next part "I usually end up taking at least ten of them a day"

Jackson flinched, "Why? You're so beautiful in this form and I can garuntee you only get prettier in your other form. It's a part of you, you cant dislike a part of you, not when your so incredible."

Danny blushed slightly "my brother, Colin, he's one of the five-- a tiger actually. I don't like people looking at me as if I'm a weakling....a kitten." she sighed and swallowed another pill, this one just because she was nervous. "I just don't like it." she shrugged and took a bit out of her children's salad

Jackson frowned, and reached across the table taking her hand, "Hey, no one looks down at you. How could they when your so strong and brave and stubborn?"

Danny laughed silently to herself and shook her head before pulling her hand away, she had let him in to much already "alright, I'll shift hen I get home." she lied--but she was a pro at lying. She took a sip of her water

Jackson sighed and stood, "Come on. I want to show you something." he put cash on the table, more than enough for dinner.

Danny nodded "alright" she stood up a well and took hold of her clutch purse

Jackson smiled and lead her outside and up on a hill. "Look up there, see that little star? The one thats really bright, brighter than the rest even though its smaller. That's you. Even though you dont become a panther you shine brighter than the rest. Thats why your cursed, God didnt want to have everyone be jealous," he paused and looked around, lowering his voice to a whisper as he shared some secret, "Between you and me, though, they already are jealous of you."

Danny stared at him with wide eyes, her heart beating quickly at the sight of him and that's when she realized........she was falling for him. She shook her head and backed away "I'm sorry....I cant...I have to go." she took her heels off and started running away until she was out of sight and back at her home

Jackson frowned and sighed, watching her go. He sighed and went home, giving her space.
