Fans of Angelfall discussion

So I've been thinking if Angelfall is going to be made into movie what songs do you guys think would be fit for it or what songs were going through your mind while reading the book.

i love to make playlists to go with the books i read! (: now these songs wouldn't really work for a movie..but this is some of what i listened to with Angelfall:
-Name by the goo goo dolls
-Show me what i'm looking for by Carolina Liar
-trust me by the fray "i found a friend.. or should i say a foe?"
-Hallelujah
and -Seven Devils by Florence and the Machine (for Penryn's mom hahaa)

and

I listened to Audiomachine's "Legions of Doom". Main stream music just doesn't do Angelfall justice :)

I listened to M83 midnight city; it was used in the victoria's secret commerical that had the angels in it so it reminds me of the book

I had Two Steps From Hell play War of Angels as part of the books trailer music lol.

When I read Angelfall, Safe and Sound from Taylor Swift just came out, and I found it so perfect to the story that now I have a hard time associating this song with The Hunger Games :)

I still like My Immortal by Evanescence - even thought its been out a while.

I know the song Im going to post is more about passion and that's not really what Penryn and Raff are about though they do have an undeniable attraction to each other. BUT I love the fighting , hyper sound of the song and the lyrics. It makes me think of this book so much.Of that world. Just going in for the kill period.Pennryn's fight for what she loves ( her sister, her life, her mother and what is right)

I think Safe&Sound by Taylor Swift ft. The Civil Wars is a good one for the this book. Most of the lyrics remind me of some scenes. I know it's on the soundtrack for The Hunger Games but to me it fits better with Angelfall.

What do you guys think?

So I'm really late to this thread, but I just joined the group. XD Hi all!

I just made a short playlist on 8tracks of some deliciously atmospheric songs that I felt really echoed some of the darker, sexier elements of the novel, musically and/or thematically. It starts out very mellow, keeping in mind the dreary, post-apocalyptic landscape, then shifts into more sensual and beat-driven tracks as the listener progresses to the "aerie."

I tried to keep it fresh and uniquely interesting--the way the book was to me--by using mostly unheard of songs released in 2012. I also avoided using songs that were used in other movie/TV show soundtracks.

I'll probably add more to it in the future, so if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to let me know!

Radioactive by Imagine Dragons :) I can't explain why but the song immediately reminded me of Angelfall. Maybe it's just me, but I think the tone really fits the book. :)
And Evelyn I really like your playlist (especially Angels by The xx :D)

I think the songs from Two Steps From Hell's Archangel album fit the book pretty well. I also think Demons by Imagine Dragons is nice too. I like Requiem For a Tower by Escala also.

I concur!! I also like Two Steps From Hell. I think they would fit this feel of this movie.

Personally, I thought of Bear's intro to Battlestar Galactica. The 2001 American version. Grrreat feeling of desolation, loss, tinge of middle-eastern religious tone.

and yes I know the angels use swords and not shotguns but this is one of my favorite songs.

The first track made me think of the fighting angels on the first part of the book. The second track is for Penryn and Raffe. Third track, I imagine them on their way to the aeri. The Escala is when they got to the aeri, the next track is when Raffe's wings was replaced with demon wings. Legion of Doom is for the action part. The next track is when Raffe held Penryn after she was struck by the scorpion mutant man. The last is well, all about Raffe.
