I really wanted to watch it, but I forgot :( Hopefully it'll re-air
I have it taped and plan to watch it soon!
There will probably be more airings.The first episode was alright, but there was a lot to cover so it seemed rushed/forced. I'll keep watching for a while.
I LOVE Lost Girl season 2 just started in the Uk. Kenzie is awesome and I love seeing all the different types of fey on screen! You won't be dissappointed!
I watched it last night. It has TONS of potential. Reminds me very much of the books I read. Can't wait to see it grow!
I just finished it a few hours ago, and thought it was pretty dang good. I down right liked it...though I have low standards so that's not saying much. For us, readers of UF, yes the main character does seem almost cookie cutter. But for a tv show? To finally see a character on screen, its definitely different. All I'm going to look for the other show, that Rachael mentioned.
Wait a sec, is this show an american version of an original canadian show? Similar to what syfy did with Being Human? Or, is syfy airing the original canadian show?

Trick and Kenzie are both my favorite supporting characters in genre TV. Next episode is this Sunday.

I stumbled onto Lost Girl last spring and I watched the whole season one online and have to say that I love the show. I couldn't wait for season two to start. I know that it's kinda campy, but there is something about it that just really appeals to me.Love Trick & Kenzie, Dyson, IMO is so yummy. There have been other side characters which are interesting like Lauren, the Morrigan, & Vex but Beau is still my fav. I liked how she refuses to pick side between the dark and light. The show starts again Sunday January 22 (at least up here in Canada it does).

For a Canadian made show it is really good. We are definitely getting better at making our own shows and having them well recieved. I hope this goes on for a while. There is nothing worse than getting into a good series and suddenly it gets pulled for some reason. LOST GIRL rocks!
I think Blood Ties, the show based on Tanya Huff's vampire series was based in Toronto and I'm pretty sure it was filmed there. I didn't see it until it was already cancelled. :(

Kenzie is one of my all-time favorite characters. I ADORE her. The first few episodes are a little bumpy, but LOST GIRL totally sucked me in.
That's interesting that this is a Canadian series... I'll be tempted to find this online to watch now. Well, only if there's a big cliffhanger or something. >_>If this turns out like Being Human then we need more Canadian shows!
I could not find a way to watch this online at all if you did not live in Canada. I was so happy when I found out they are airing it here!
I finally saw the first episode, but I missed the episode that aired last night. I'm really excited to what happens as the season progresses.
I thought that the canadian version of Being Human was a remake of the UK original?

I like the Dresden Files too and have them set up in Hulu to watch. I am currently reading Summer Knight and love the way the series has improved so far.
So I have to be honest, I liked the first episode of but I'm not really liking the show as much as I thought I would. I can't pinpoint what it is that is keeping me from enjoying the show
I can't believe there's a season two--I think we just had it start in the U.S.I just saw the first three episodes on SyFy (US) and have to admit that the dialogue was pretty lame. It did seem as if it had improved somewhat by episode 3 and the team was finding their groove. I remain very attracted to the idea of fae, and the succubus, and the actors are decent. Nice eye candy as well. I don't read much PNR but love UF, so I'm willing to see where it goes.
i don't watch much tv (tend to catch my shows later on netflix), so i totally would have missed out on this if not for you guys. first 3 episodes are sitting right there for me in the on-demand part of my cable box - thanks for the tip!
I keep watching, but I'm not really sure I like it all that much. I like the idea behind it, well, sort of, but the writing is just lacking. I'll watch a bit more and see what I think.
I think some elements are pretty trashy (language, comments, sexual elements), but I love the faerie aspects. It's a matter of personal tastes, of course. I'm not a big fan of the succubus, must get my freak or or I die part of the show. I keep watching though, so I guess that's something.
I think that's the biggest complaint for me - the succubus part. :D I'm a prude so all this sex, sex, sex is just a bit much.
If you're watching the first part of season one it has alot of the sex stuff in it, but as the series moves on it's still there, but not as in your face. In the second season, again it's still there, hard to get away from seeing as Beau's a Succubus, but the focus is more on Beau's job and the other characters not just the sex. While not the most dramatic show on TV, I am enjoying it.
Jenny, that's good news for me. I don't mind if the succubus part is in the periphery. This week was pretty rough with the threesome with the married couple (the wife being an Fury).
But at least there was exploding skulls! ; )
I like it. Too many main characters right now are too wussy. I like women who can kick a$$. :)

I don't think the amount of sex is too over powering, it's at just the right balance. After all the main character is a Succubus, things could be waaaaaay over the top. (Like true blood over the top.)Agreed the "sidekick" is the best!
The sex doesn't bother me. Actually surprised there isn't more considering she is a Succubus. Then again I watch True Blood so maybe I am desensitized lol
True Blood still makes me uncomfortable, even though I love it.
My only issue with this show is that they never grounded her detective-y abilities. They established that she's sexy, good at running and hiding, has conflicted morals, but where did her powers of deduction come from?Other than that, I love the boundaries that they push. Wait! I almost forgot, I don't find the Doctor appealing. I don't know if its the actress or how she's written? There is beautiful, palatable tension between Bo and Dyson, even though they yo-yo the audience every week! But I get no tension with the Doc.
Same here, the Doc romance issue is a total waste for me. I would have to say her detective abilities started up as she searched for the truth about what she was.
I am not bothered by her private detective skills. Some people just have knack for that sort of thing. I am ok with that. I wish the doc thing would go away. I don't see any chemistry with those two. While chemistry explodes with Dyson and Bo. Love them!
Now that I think about it I don't think I've talked to anyone who really likes the Doc and Bo love story.
And I think it could work if we had a reason to like the Doc, but they didn't give us any. We know Dyson cares for her, wants to protect her, and harbors some sort of secret about her past.I liked the hint that the Doc is owned by that yummy, head of the good Fae. Some more conflict between her duties and her feelings for Bo would be nice. But does she have feelings for Bo? Its completely unclear.
I think that is a good point. We don't really know her intentions with Bo. They hint she has feelings, but they hint there is some alterior motive. Maybe that's why we don't like the doc and it's probably meant to be that way. BUT beyond that, I just don't see chemistry with them. It might help a bit if we knew something, anything about the doc. Maybe I missed it but I don't even know why she knows about the Fae, how did she get tied up with them to begin with.
I hear the Doc gets a little more fleshed out later on in the second season.
I don't care for Bo and Lauren (the doc) either. Since Bo is a succubus I am waiting for when they have an incubus on. That will be interesting.
You don't need to be a rocket scientist to be a dective especially when you have a band of merry sidekicks to help you figure everything out!
I am waiting for an incubus to appear too!

My daughter (18) makes fun of me for liking this show. She nearly died laughing when they did the promo ad with the quote "this show doesn't suck" or whatever it was. I thought the quote was from a reviewer who loved the show and was making a joke(suck vs succubus and/or having a non-vampire supernatural show for a change). She thought it was just the best quote they could scrounge up from the bad reviews. :)
I am really enjoying this show so far. It really does remind me of the different books that I read.

Kenzi's the best character in that show. I've seen the three seasons so far. Without Kenzi, I think the show would drop. I love Tamzin (she appears in season 2 I think). I think her and Bo have a great dynamic later on the show (late season 2/season 3).
You can definitely see the influence UF novels have on the series through the protagonist. She could have easily been ripped from any number of series. Which is probably a bad thing, but I liked her.
