Nikki (nikki_lvjojo) Hi, I'm Nikki. I joined GR a couple of months ago, & I've slowly been learning my way around (hence, the "hoping this works" title). Wild Things is the first (and so far only) group I've joined.
I love the ya genre, among other great genres, but it seems like I always gravitate back to ya. Sometimes I do feel silly being 29 years old & combing the ya section at the library. Lol.
I'm looking to make friends that I can happily & comfortably discuss the books I love!

Terry (Ter05 TwiMoms/ MundieMoms) (ter05) | 70 comments I am a grandmother and head for this section in the book store. We don't have a library (I live in the sticks but we do have one books store - a Hastings) YA is for everyone these days!

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) Hold your head up Nikki, you're not alone! :)

It's kind of cool for me now to talk to my sons and cousin who are all in high school about the books they're reading. I'm our family's library, so I feel like that gives me free reign to read anything that appeals to me.

You don't have to be a teacher to read YA anymore!

K.J. Bryen (kjbryen) | 4 comments It's true! My mother is in her late forties, and most of the books she has ever read are YA! I love them as well, and I'm in my twenties :) Also one of my favorite genres to write.

There's just something about them that makes them the most fun and relatable books to read

Ivaiah Rose (ivmcan) Psh. YA for life! It doesn't matter how old you get, some stories just speak to you better than others. My Mom and I love a lot of the same books, most of which are YA, and its an amazing way for us to bond.

Kandice I enjoyed YA before that was even a category, but now that I have teenagers, I read everything they do so read a lot of it. It's certainly nothing to be ashamed of!
