Kathy | 2 comments I have all four of those books in my possession, but am disappointed that Grandpa Green was not the winner.

Ed (yedotter) | 14 comments They are all great choices, and a couple of my favorites didn't make the cut, but I loved all four of these books, so I can't complain. I am happy that Me...Jane got an honor, since it seemed to be dropping off the radar towards the end of the year, and I thought it was a great book. A Ball for Daisy was not my favorite when I read it, but it grew on me over time, and I think it is well deserving of the Caldecott.

Caren (carenb) | 78 comments I didn't really enjoy A Ball for Daisy, but I didn't like his Yo book that won an honor and no kid ever checks that book out.
Loved the choices for the honors and felt both of those were more deserving of the medal.
