11/22/63 by Stephen King ( the title is very hard to look up since it contains the forward slash). I'm no horror fan, but this is fantastic so far. His details are stunning.
This one is a little different from his other books, I think. Lots of characters to keep track of and many POV changes...but it's been keeping my attention well enough.
is next on my list :)
I loved
, will reread sometime in the next lifetime when I can carve out more reading time :). Also read 11/22/63 in November when it came out. Very much enjoyed portions of it, just not the entire book, but every other reader I've seen mention it just loved it.
The Endlands, So far it's such a good book. I'm reading it because it interests me and I'm friends with the author here on GR who sent me a copy, Vincent Hobbes. I will be writing a review after I am done, so far so great!
Fascinating fictional look at the treacherous/murderous political machinations of ancient Rome (circa 60BC) in the time of orator and consul Cicero, penned by his secretary Tiro. Who as it happens really did give us the following abbreviations still in use today (NB, i.e. etc. and '&') which he developed as shorthand as a scribe to speed up taking dictation.
