This Nexus group is a very good idea and looks like it has alot of good topics and things to offer. That Making Connections group is also a very nice group and I am glad to be apart of both and hope people will appreciate both as I have come to. :)
Need your opinions on something...Barnes & Noble wouldn't accept my review of
, citing something about not complying with their review policies...Here's my review. Can you see any reason they wouldn't take it? I don't even know what I can change to make it acceptable :PStraight to Hell is a witty, engrossing read that grabs your attention from the beginning. The book is about Lilith Straight, a down on her luck divorcee, who is struggling to balance the strains of being a single parent plus the additional stress of an immature adult sister and a troubled niece living with her. Right after we are introduced to Lilith and have been given a chance to get to know her, she dies. Lilith knows she was not perfect during her short life, but she was not prepared for where she ended up.
I loved Lilith's witty, sarcastic personality. It was so much fun to be inside her head. Throughout the book we watch her struggle with what she knows is right and what she feels she must do. The tough decisions she makes are always for what she feels is the greater good…her daughter. This is not a story of good versus evil, but more like bad versus worse, and Lilith does the best she can with what she has to work with.

Sheri --Did you make sure you have your star rating indicated and your headline filled in?
I think your review looks good, and I'm making sure I have this book on my TBR list.

It was good :)
Yep, my star rating was there with it and headline, too...actually I don't think you can even submit the review without those. This one I had submitted and didn't even realize they hadn't accepted it except I went in to do another review and saw it.
Nikki (The Bibliomaniac) wrote: "WTH? There is nothing wrong with it."I know! The only thing I can think of is using the word "hell," except that is in the title, so I don't know why I couldn't use it.

Something totally random:At work the other day we received our weekly "Friday" email which consists of lots of droning on about what we should and shouldn't do with workrelated stuff (I'm not going to bore you with details). The email also includes "suggestion box" requests, comments, and responses. I have to share one with you because it made my day.
Suggestion: There is a wookie in my [email] inbox. This concerns me greatly.
Supervisor Response: Please forward all wookies to the supervisor routing and they will be taken care of.
And that is all!
That's what I'd like to know! I think the person that sent that in was referring to the Star Wars creatures but I really didn't know they could infiltrate email. Ha ha
yes that is a good idea, well I hope you never get a wookie in your email as I am not sure if its a good or bad thing. LOL
hilarious! i also looked up wookie.. here's the link to its other interesting meanings hehehe

Ha ha! Yes! That reminds me, go to the link below and watch the video. It's called "The Bark Side" and it was made by a car company. I'm not sure how the car company and Star Wars relate but it is still funny as hell.

Oh...and be sure to pay special attention to the fact that the dogs have a "costumes" on. If you know Star Wars characters you'll see it right away.
omg that was good.
Not sure how effective the advertisement is though when the last part fipped by I was still thinking of the dogs not a car lol

Yep, I experienced the same thing. In fact, I really didn't care about the car at all once I saw that commercial. Classic!
