Me either!! I don't think I even read all of it, actually XD

Arushi (arushilisa) TWILIGHT WAS SOOOO BAD. a complete waste of my time. im glad i had the sense not to read the series all the way through. i mean vegetarian vampires that sparkle ?!?!?! that's just messed up. plus the characters, to me are all stupid, and not likeable...and the writing style, tbh, just sucked.
sorry stephanie meyer.

Arushi (arushilisa) IKR. like whaaaaaat...?!?!?! sadly that was my introduction into the wonderful genre of fantasy romance...so i kept away from it for a while, until two years ago...i started it again, this time reading the correct books and omggg its defo my fave genre now :) well, i love my dystopians with romance too. but PNR trumps all xD

Yea, I thought the same thing. I actually kind of liked the books. The worst book in the Twilight series for me was New Moon..Boring-est. Book. Ever. After I finally got through that it was all good again. I think what brought my Twilight like-ness bar down was the movies. They just didn't reach my expectations I guess. And Bella's actor...gosh, does she ever have any other expressions than just that one? haha I had to rant for a bit there XP

message 6: by Arushi (new)

Arushi (arushilisa) Oh, its okay. In some ways, I'm like the queen of rants. You should see me in person rant about how one guy is better than another guy or see how I rant about how I hate a book...stuff like that. Idk, I could talk about anything for a long time, except, well books---> just about forever xD

haha don't even get me started. Actually, my friend, Elizabeth, is even more amazing at ranting than even I (:

message 8: by Arushi (new)

Arushi (arushilisa) Ha me and my friends had ranting contests sometimes...not formally obviously hahaha but i outshone them all...im not really sure that's a good thing. I even write really long texts/gmail chats/emails etc. Plus I talk a lot and am really loud and crazy when with the right crowd. Anyway, another book that I really didn't like was Touching Spirit Bear (Spirit Bear, #1) by Ben Mikaelsen , we had to read it in 7th grade for school and it sucked.

Arushi (arushilisa) Book club book for school with ASSIGNED BOOKS. I mean if youre going to give us assigned groups, fine. But at least let us choose a book. Like, come on.

Books clubs ..."

For real! That's depressing. I'd make my own book club XD Free to choose your own books AND free candy (:

message 11: by Arushi (new)

Arushi (arushilisa) Penelope wrote: ..."Book clubs with assigned books? That's like saying, "Free candy if you give us a dollar!"

Haha, one time at a fun fair to raise money for clubs, someone came up to me and told me that if I donated a dollar, I'd get a little tub of play-doh. Another person said, "sale! buy one get one free, each chocolate bar is two bucks!" Um, no. I'm not stupid and don't fall victim to stupid marketing schemes like that. I may not be in business, I'm in medical, but I have a brain.

Mae-Emlyn (mecurrie10) | 8 comments Hmm...Worst book I've ever read? What if you didn't read it, but it was pretty bad? Okay yeah I'd have to agree with Pen: One Writer's Beginning had me snorin'!

I haven't, but are they any good if you mentioned them on this thread? :P

message 16: by Arushi (new)

Arushi (arushilisa) They were both very ookay to me...i just wanted to know whether others liked or disliked it :)

message 17: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 39 comments One book I absolutely hated was Pretties . It was absolutely horrible. It didn't meet up to my expectations after reading Uglies, and didn't keep my attention after the first few chapters.

Another horrid book is A Separate Peace. The ending is really slow and lame compared to the rest of the book, and the narrator's thoughts are sporadic, talking about nature a TON and then finally mentioning where he is actually at and what he's doing.

LOL That did throw me off, but I also hate it because of Bella's "love" for Edward. She's just attracted to him because he's beautiful and vampires emit a smell and gaze that is meant to bring in prey [humans]. If you ever read part of Midnight Sun, you'll realize that Bella pretty much skips over Edward's unique personality and amazingly hilarious humor. She doesn't even know his favorite color, and he's too obsessed with the smell of her hair and shampoo to care if she cares. Ugh, totally messed up.

Arushi (arushilisa) To any twilight haters...go to youtube and watch "alex reads twilight" he basically reads most of twilight, dissing it along the way and its so funny xD

I actually kind of liked A Separate Peace. Mainly because of Phineas though...I really really liked him...then that happened :(

message 21: by Arushi (new)

Arushi (arushilisa) My friend recommended 'a separate peace' to me..but i dont really take her recos into consideration no offense to her, not because i dont love her and respect her opinion or anything...its just that we both like very different books, and idk if something she likes is something that i would like

Yeah, I get what you mean. Sometimes that happens, but it's okay. Different people have different preferences. For example I love fiction books that have romance in it, where as I would not be able to read and understand a word of a nonfiction book that included a real life situation romance.

I didn't like the way it was written, but didn't you like Phineas? At all? haha, after he was gone, I gave up on the book and deemed it a miserable book.
