Cultural artifacts that have been taken from their countries and now are on display in museums in other countries should they be returned to there country of origin ?


Peru requests return of Paracas from Sweden.

This is an ongoing discussion around the world with many countries requesting their original works be returned. I can't think of which countries right off the top of my head. I think Greece is one and maybe Italy. I'm not sure, though.

Egypt also and Iraq is looking to get back their cultural artifacts that were looted during the chaos.

An Italian court has upheld an order for the seizure of a masterpiece of the J. Paul Getty Museum's antiquities collection.
