Sighing, Jordan knelt down to pick up her things, reaching for a green binder with one hand, when another tanned hand beat her to it, surprising her.
(Ditto what she said..)
Great...I'm stuck with the absolute worst person to be stuck with AND I'm trapped in this dark gooey place that smells something close to crap..just terrific, I thought glancing over at Brent who was glued to the opposite wall.

My eyes skimmed across the perimeter of the room, and I spied a logo that, causing my eyebrows to shoot up dramatically, said "Walmart."
(Oh my gosh, Liz..)
I looked over at Brent to confirm that I was going crazy, to have the same expression I had reflected back to me on his.
I looked over at Brent to confirm that I was going crazy, to have the same expression I had reflected back to me on his.
((um where isthis going???))Just then, a short and plump man came into the room that Jordan and Bret were in, and the two confused kids looked up at him, waiting for him to speak.
He came over with a hose and got all the goo off of us so we were free at last.
He screamed and then started running around in circles.
Jordan then realized that it was stuck on her finger but she didnt care right now, she started running, pulling Brent behind her.
Jordan and Brent looked around in awe at all the blinking things on the wall that did; who knows what?
Then a single spotlight turned on and a hideous creature stepped into it.
"You are about to meet your doom," said the hideous creature.
Brent just shrugged then looked back at the creature who was saying something about the slow, mournful death we were going to die while Jordan looked for a way out of this.
Jordan jumped out of it, grabbing Brent with her at the last second, only to find themselves in a locked chamber of the spaceship.
While Brent screamed like a little girl Jordan looked up the pothole only to see the creature covering it with something that looked like cement.
Jordan screamed, then she suddenly stopped, she had heard something behind her.
A loud crashing sound reverberated through the whole spaceship--the "cement" around them fell apart--and soon enough, the spaceship was hurtling at several hundred miles per hour back to Earth.
Obama did not look pleased as the aliens, who looked quite human, Brent and Jordan walked out of the spaceship and into his office.
Finding themselves left alone, Jordan checked her watch, which read 7:34 P.M. This was definitely not what I imagined my last day of school to be like.., Jordan thought to herself sighing out loud.
"We could take an airplane, but I dont have any money on me, you?" Jordan asked.
"So what are we gonna do?" Jordan asked, normally she always had the right answer but not now and Brent wasnt much help.
"Well I can't think of anything OK!" Jordan shouted, she missed all her family and was so frustrated; what if they could never get home?
They screamed getting its attention and it landed right in front of them, blew its fire in their direction, and flew away.
Suddenly Jordan had an idea, "What about the train?" she asked hopefully.
"So you are smart--I think we might have enough to scrape through two tickets, you're welcome," Brent said, expecting a 'thank you.'
"OK let's go," Jordan said, ignoring Brent's look of disappointment.
They started walking, hoping to find a store where they could find a map of the town and find the train station.
Soon enough, they found one, and boarded the train--they really had just scraped through, they were a few dollars short, but the kind old man let them through anyway.
The train ride was a long one, considering they had to go all the way back to Maine. While they waited Jordan and Brent conversed.
It was small talk, but Jordan found herself laughing at Brent's jokes, and Brent smiled at Jordan's quirky replies.
Brent felt his face become heated and looked out the window, while holding Jordan's body closer to him, so that the bumps in the tracks wouldn't fling her out of her seat, but more for personal reasons than the former.
The rest of the train ride was filled with awkward silence, with Jordan and Brent occasionally looking at each other and blushing when they met each other's eyes.
Jordan smiled back and they stayed like that, hands interlocked, until the train stopped.
"We're finally home," Jordan told him.
Jordan screamed and Brent felt the sudden urge to pull her into his arms and never let go.
Jordan ran forward, down the street and Brent followed behind her without difficulty, she wasn't a fast runner.
They were in an alley, a dead end with dim light, "Brent, why are we here?" she began to ask, but he shushed her with a finger to her lips.
"Jordan, I--" but he was cut off by a huge gust of air and a bright light that sent Brent on top of Jordan, flattening her.
Jordan was happy to have the weight off her and exhaled deeply, but then wished he was back, before scolding herself for thinking so foolishly--it was still Brent Cobalt, after all.

It was a bright afternoon, and the last day of junior year at Blue Hill High School.
