I just finished reading this book by Lynne Bryant who teaches at UCCS. I highly recommend it. It takes place in the south in the 1930s and in present day. It will remind some of The Help, but it is a very different story. It does touch on some of the same themes.It is a very well written, interesting story. I was very impressed, and it is her first novel.
