I was a bit worried when I saw the topic name. I couldn't figure how the comedian Mike Myers found his own topic in an Action/Adventure group. I feel much better now. :)
LOL... I was thinking "everybody's going to think this is the guy from Halloween, the Movie."
As it turns out he's a wonderful soul with a good mystery story on his hands. (As far as I can tell). I've got it on my TBR.

Hello:Just keep him away from kitchen knives and Captain Kirk masks.

I thank you both. My wife and I are off to France on Monday, and we'll be back in early October. Who knows, maybe I'll come up with a good story line while there. I do hope you enjoy COVERT DREAMS. The two years I spent as a college professor in Saudi Arabia, where a large chunk of the book is set, was a real eye opener to me.
Thanks, Jim! I have worked hard to lose a few pounds before heading off to the land of cheese, wine, and great food, and I think I am ready.
Reviews like this make me feel like Clint Eastwood: they make my day. This is the first review I've written for Amazon. I'm a very picky reader (that's putting it mildly) and I tend to subscribe to the adage that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. I'm not sure that's the best policy in life, but it's the one I tend to go with. This book, fortunately, has given me an opportunity to speak out. This is the best book, bar none, that I've read in an eon. It grabbed me by the collar and wouldn't let me go. I read it in three sittings. The voice, the pace, the settings, the highly intriguing plot: they all grabbed me. And the great thing was there was nothing grisly or disturbing. I don't like things like that. What I got was highly intelligent writing with a very compelling plot, and no violence. Bravo. One last point: at the end of most of the chapters the author used an unusual and effective technique that really won my respect. I felt I was in the hands of a master. Terrific book. I would recommend it to anyone.

I just have to share the second 5-star review I received today for COVERT DREAMS: "I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. B.J. and Gina are a wonderfully loving couple. They wanted children, but that was not to be, yet through even that, they became closer than ever...until now. His dreams have begun taking taking over his life! What's real? What's not? Is he losing his mind???Stan Halsey and his lovely wife Valerie have decided they need a fresh start after the unfortunate death of their son. Stan has a lucrative job offer in Saudi Arabia and leaves Valerie in Rome while he sets things up. She sends a message saying she's about to land in Jeddah. When he arrives, not only is she nowhere to be found but there's no evidence of any paperwork proving her existence. Is he losing his mind? Does Valerie even really exist?
I'm not giving anymore character descriptions besides these two main characters for fear of creating spoilers. This novel will definitely be on my top ten favorites of 2013. The story has so many twists and turns, it left me with my head spinning (in a good way)! The end shocked me, trust me, read this book, you'll be picking your jaw up off of the ground too. BEST. READ. EVER!"

Exciting news! My novel, COVERT DREAMS, has just received a Compulsion Reads endorsement. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Compulsion Reads, this company specializes in reviewing independently-published novels, such as mine, and endorses those novels that meet its quality standards based on the fundamental qualities of good storytelling. Many books that the company reviews don’t earn their endorsement, so this is a pretty big deal for me. You can also find it listed in the Compulsion Reads Endorsed Book Library at www.compulsionreads.com/books. You can find me by searching my name or book title. Please check it out when you get a chance. As always, I really appreciate your support and well wishes. If you’d like to support my novel, please share this exciting news. Thanks!Mike
I liked this book. It's in my Hugh, your late late on reviews stack to write, but this was a fun read.
Mike, could you make sure it gets on the list started for the MA-BOM? It's a good read.

I will interviewed tonight, Thursday, May 9th, from 9:00 pm - 9:20 pm EDT on a big-time radio show. DEADLY EYES and COVERT DREAMS will be the main focus, but I have been told that we will end my section of the broadcast by talking about both THE FAMOUS UNION and THE THREE KITTIES THAT SAVED MY LIFE. This will be a live radio show that will be taped and then played again Saturday night. To say that I am excited is a huge understatement. The interview will be broadcast to over 300,000 listeners worldwide. I have also learned that 8 additional Internet stations will be broadcasting the show. Although the show runs from 8:00 pm until 11:00 pm EDT, my portion will be from 9:00-9:20 pm EDT (6:00-6:20 California time). I hope you are able to listen in and also to help me spread the word. A taped podcast will be aired again on Saturday night. http://www.trianglevarietyradio.com/
