Is anyone else reading this?
I was wondering what you thought about Andras' arrival in Paris and the depictions of how the 'social structure' of the university are set up???

I'm still debating about it. 600+ pages seems a little daunting to me. Although I am enjoying the kindle sample. And I know some people doing a buddy read of this. It is very readable. I'll probably make up my mind this weekend.I am at the point where he has just arrived at the station and found no one to meet him.
ah yes - Josef (sp?) is about to be introduced as a character - he's a bit detestable but ultimately very good to read...and later in the book you can kind of feel a bit sorry for him but not much!
I know that 600+ pages looks daunting - it did to me too and I owned the book for over a year before finally picking it up! - But I will emphasise that it never felt like an arduous read - it was pacey and was easy to get through - very readable and never felt like a chore. Later on after about half way the story gets so exciting that you simply can't put it down.
