‘Tis All About Love – February Mini Challenge

February is the love month! To honor this month, we will be discovering a few different types of love. Choose your level of participation and start reading!

Level:
Easy – Pick 3 types, 1 book each.
Medium – Pick 4 types, 1 book each.
Hard – All types, 1 of each.


Types of Love
Eros - The Passionate Love – Desire, physical appearance, and romance is given top priority!
Storge - The Emotional Bonding – Usually described as familial love. Deep and abiding affection and an unbreakable bond as with parents and children, siblings, etc…
Pragma - Need Based Love – This type of love focuses on needs, wants, status, income, common interests, material belongings, etc… If needs are met the couple is satisfied.
Agape - The Divine Love – This is the most divine, purest, and highest level of love. It puts others before self. Think Biblical, “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”
Ludus – The Euphoric Love – This describes the type of love that passes after the initial thrill is over. It is not long term or committed.
Mania - The Obsessive Love – The worst form of love as it is full of insecurity, jealousy, and other extremes like obsession and compulsion.

Note: The book or love relationship does not need to be about just one type. Relationships change so you may see several types in one relationship. ☺ Good luck!
