Sarah | 24 comments So we finally moved into our new house, and it has me pondering some things. This might be a really quick question, or it may take some more pondering. But what I want to know is...

What makes a house a home?

Jena | 124 comments wow...very sad that nobody actually replied to this question. well i'm incredibly board so i think i will :)

what makes a house a home so you ask, well i believe a home is where you are surrounded by the people you love, and love you back such as your friends or family. A place where you feel safe and secure and where you feel 'at home'. As amazing as it may seem, but a house doesn't have to be a home. (of coarse that is my opinion...or is it?)As an example, i call my church home, simply because i grew up there, i am surrounded by people i love, and love me back. I feel safe and secure there. therefore, when i'm at church, i'm at home :)

somebody else really should respond to this question...please

I'm just perusing Good Reads since it's been ages since I logged in, and I think that this is a good question, but I doubt that it will get much discussion simply because I would think many people agree with Jena that what makes a place a home isn't that it is a house, but that it is where you are safe, happy, comfortable, loving and loved. To me, my physical house, the GHHS leadership room, a few of my friends' houses, my car, and Borders are all my homes. :)
