Kelly (thejokercard) I love the book but if i'm honest i liked finding sky better. There is one thing that bugs me massively everytime i re-read stealing phoenix, and that's the fact they made a mistake with the brothers!!!

Els (Elss) | 23 comments Finding Sky was better, but I did enjoy this book. I never noticed a mistake, what was wrong?

Same here, i liked finding sky better but i still liked this book. The mistake is on page 69, Yves says "i just meant we'd wait for Vick to get home. He's the second eldest in my family..." Gaaaah! No he isn't, the benedict family followed a pattern with the names, Trace, Uriel THEN Victor. Victor is not the second eldest Uriel is. Everytime i see that i can't help but set the book straight... which sounds a bit mad but hey :) I know it's a small mistake and it's not like i should loose sleep over it but i have OCD about this kind of thing :)

Els (Elss) | 23 comments Oh wow, you're obviously more observant than I am. I've read the book lots of times and never batted an eyelid at Yves' comment. Next time I'll set the book straight too! Don't worry, I get OCD about things too! I don't see how authors can make mistakes like that because surely lots of people proof read the books before they get published and even before they get put on the shelves?

Kelly (thejokercard) I think i noticed it because i'm just a teeny bit obsessed with the brothers and because there isn't much about Trace, Uriel and Will so i'm always looking out for stuff to do with them, when it said second eldest it registered on my radar but then i realised it was nothing to do with uriel!! I think this is proof i should read the books early, you know to check for mistakes... ;)

Els (Elss) | 23 comments Ah right! I hope she does books for all the brothers, I want to know more about Trace, Uriel, Victor and Will too! And I want to know about how his parents met and fell in love. I know it might be boring to have a book about each brother but I think they'd be good! Stealing Phoenix is the first sequel that I've been able to read in the last two years-ish. If I ever write a book I'll send it to you to be proof read, hehe!

Kelly (thejokercard) me too, i can't wait until the next book comes out and it's AGES away. I never thought about a book for his parents, that's a good idea, and i doubt it would be boring, i'd be drooling over the books when they come out :) How come you haven't read many sequels? And thank you! ;)

Els (Elss) | 23 comments Same, I'm so excited already! I hope she stays true to the time of releasing unlike LJ Smith, I've been waiting for the last Night World book for about four years now-.- same here! Id love to learn more about their parents! New Moon put me off them, since I read that I haven't been able to read sequels for some reason! S'alright, just promise me that you'll tell me if my book sucks?

Kelly (thejokercard) Now that is a long wait! *gasp* no sequels! what books have you read that are a series but you haven't read the sequel to? And of course i would, OCD would make me, i wouldn't be able to sleep at night otherwise i'd just keep seeing it in my sleep :)

Els (Elss) | 23 comments I know! She keeps pushing the release date forward, it's really annoying! I know! I keep trying to read the fallen sequel, and the sequel to hush hush but it just isn't happening! The paranormalcy sequel, the sequel to dark heart forever, I just can't do it! It really frustrates me but I can't bring myself to read them-.- good, hehe! I can't have a book out on the shelf if it sucks now can I, it'd ruin my reputation! Always good to get an honest opinion off of someone too isn't it:)

Kelly (thejokercard) I don't have the same problem but for me to read i have to be in a certain mood or i just can't concentrate, then i don't take anything in and i get confused later on because i have no idea what's happening :( of course you can't! Yeah it is, even if it hurts at least you know the truth, that way you can't make annoying mistakes, like for example Victor is the THIRD eldest not the second! :)

message 12: by Els (new) - rated it 5 stars

Els (Elss) | 23 comments Same here, I read before I go to bed or I read as soon as I get up because then I'm up for it. I have to re-read a lot anyway because I'm so forgetful, haha! Yeah, exactly! Silly book checkers, surely she should've got it right as well since they're her characters! It's a really silly mistake, not like one of those not so obvious ones! I bet Joss Stirling has read Finding Sky since and gone, "fiddlesticks, I made a boo boo" and is now kicking herself!

Kelly (thejokercard) I have reading moods where i won't read for a while like a couple of months then i'll read a load of books in 2 weeks and then i won't read for a while again. When i want to read, i REALLY read :) yeah, i bet when she saw it she was like noooooo! and hoping no one would notice :)

message 14: by Els (new) - rated it 5 stars

Els (Elss) | 23 comments I do exactly the same! I've been in one for the last four months, I've only read one book this year, bad I know but I just wasn't in the mood for it yanno! But her hope is shattered as you noticed, and now I know about her mistake! Next time she should be more careful!

Kelly (thejokercard) It's not bad unless you have a library book then go into a no reading slump. You're forever re-newing the book it's so annoying. You finally give it back and that's when you want to read it :( I bet she's now crying because we both know about the mistake, she's not going to sleep well tonight :) I think to avoid this in the future we should both see the early versions of all of her future books, you know just to make sure there are no mistakes. Not because we would want to read the books earlier or anything ;)

message 16: by Els (new) - rated it 5 stars

Els (Elss) | 23 comments Yeah, haha! And by that time someone else has taken it out so you can't just go back and get it! Yeah, she must be feeling so ashamed of herself right now, we know her mistake and she's not going to get away with it, hahahah! I completely agree with you, it would uh *cough* be for her own good.. I think it's good that we're being so considerate by saying we'll check her books, I mean it's not for our own benefit or anything, wink wink nudge nudge!

Kelly (thejokercard) Exactly! That's what annoys me, when i finally feel like reading that book someone else has decided they want to read it! It's like we're the book mistake police :) We will have justice! :) and yeah of course, we're just doing this becuase we are that good. We are kind and helpful people, it has nothing to do with what we want at all... ;)

message 18: by Els (new) - rated it 5 stars

Els (Elss) | 23 comments Yeah! It's really annoying, I've managed to do it a few times with my own books too! Like I'll go through a stage where I don't want to read anything but my friend does so I'll lend them a few of my really good books, finding sky and stealing phoenix for example and then I decide that I want to read a book and realise I've lent it to someone! I like that thought, the book mistake police, has a ring to it, hehe! What's gonna be the consequence if someone makes a mistake in their book? A fine? Execution? 12 years in the slammer? I'm so proud of how good we are, so selfless, we could be going to the cinema or shopping but instead we're willing to give up our time to check books for mistakes!

Kelly (thejokercard) When you do that you can't exactly ask for them back either because you're the one that lent them the book in the first place! It could be anything we want!, How about we force them to write out the line(s) with the mistake in correctly 100 times :) We are such good people, people will want to be as good as us all over the world :)

message 20: by Els (new) - rated it 5 stars

Els (Elss) | 23 comments Exactly, haha! You can't exactly go, "you know that book I lent you the other day? Yeah, well I'm suddenly in a reading mood an thats the book I want to read so I want it back. No, I don't care that youre in the middle of it, I want to read it".. That's a good punishment, I think when we make them do that we should also make them drink two pints of water and ban them from going to the loo, everyone knows how much pain you can get in when you can't go to the toilet so hopefully it would make writers think twice about making a mistake again:D they really will but no one will ever be as good as us, we'll get OBEs and all those from the Queen and everything!

Kelly (thejokercard) True :) instead you have to grit your teeth when they talk about the book and you have to ask calmly if they've finished yet, and you can't keep asking. Oooooh you are evil! They definitely won't do it again! We could get knighthoods, and medals!! :)

message 22: by Els (new) - rated it 5 stars

Els (Elss) | 23 comments Yeah, it's hard cause I'm so impatient, hehe! It's when they start to talk about certain parts of the books when I really start to get worked up cause I start pining, I'm like, "I want to read it, gimme gimme!":) that's what they call me, I'm an evil genius, mwahahahaha.. Not really, don't worry:P that's what we're hoping for, hopefully once authors see what torture we put other authors through theyll make sure they make no mistakes at all and soon there will be no mistakes in books anymore! Yeah, and gold Blue Peter badges (I'm guessing you know what Blue Peter is, hehe)!

Kelly (thejokercard) yeah, but unfortunately we have to suffer in silence, but you know it's bad when you almost assault them! :) Phew! i was worried then :) No author will dare do anything wrong and if they do they will beg forgiveness from us :) Yes i know what blue peter is :) They'll shower us in gifts, anything we want... :)

message 24: by Els (new) - rated it 5 stars

Els (Elss) | 23 comments Yeah, when you attempt to strangle them so you can get the book back, haha! They will, on rheir hands and knees, "please, please forgive me!"! Oh good, hehe:) I need a gold badge to complete my collection! Yeah, like a million tons of chocolate and a library containing every book ever written for our own private use, haha!

Kelly (thejokercard) yeah, for some reason they tend to avoid me after that... collection? you have blue peter badges? of course! But this is just because we are such good people, nothing to do with what we want... ;)

message 26: by Els (new) - rated it 5 stars

Els (Elss) | 23 comments Same here! Yeah, I have a blue one, a green one and a silver one:D of course it is, I mean, it would just be a plus to get praised for our consideration and giving up of precious time.. Ultimately we're just helping out the authors and readers of the books, it's not for our enjoyment or anything..

Kelly (thejokercard) oh wow! The closest i've ever got to getting a blue peter badge was when i saw them on the t.v screen :) Of course, of course. We're doing this for others, not for us at all... ;)

message 28: by Els (new) - rated it 5 stars

Els (Elss) | 23 comments Hehe, I'm proud of my badges! Sad yes but still:) yes, of course, not for ourselves at all, we're so selfless!

Kelly (thejokercard) it's not sad, i'm jealous ;) we are such good people it brings a tear to my eyes :')

message 30: by Els (new) - rated it 5 stars

Els (Elss) | 23 comments Haha, it's never too late to get one, write them a letter! Same here, pass me the tissues!

Kelly (thejokercard) i'm too lazy, and i'm too busy checking books for mistakes ;)

message 32: by Els (new) - rated it 5 stars

Els (Elss) | 23 comments Hahaha! Of course youre busy checking books, so am I, of course:L
