To avoid the dilemma of members being unwittingly spoiled, and to avert clutter issues with lots of threads for the same topic, here's what we're going to do. If you want to discuss the different books and you don't mind marking them for spoiler spaces, you can use this thread.

Older book threads were not marked for spoilers on this group, so be wary that it is possible to run into them. New book threads are marked for spoilers.

If you are new to the group, and you want to just talk the books in general, feel free to post here.

Marcelene | 5 comments I can't wait for Munro's book to come out! I'm almost done reading Lanthe and Throno's story which was the BEST! But still going crazy waiting for Munro and Kereny's story. (sigh)

message 3: by Karen (new)

Karen Bolton | 15 comments Me too!! Does anyone know when it comes out??

message 4: by Marcelene (new)

Marcelene | 5 comments I don't know, someone asked her on Facebook and she said soon, that was like over a year ago.

message 5: by Andrea (new)

Andrea (andrea-booksandtea) I saw that Kresley has a new Arcana Chronicles book coming out next month. Hopefully after that we will get another IAD release.

message 6: by Marcelene (new)

Marcelene | 5 comments Kresley pleeeeeze!! It's like she's tormenting us. I wish I could say I didn't care but that. Would be a lie lol. I'm obsessed with the IAD series.

message 7: by Karen (last edited Jul 09, 2016 03:11PM) (new)

Karen Bolton | 15 comments I am OBSESSED also! I just wish there wasn't so much time between books! I did buy Shadow Rider by Sherrilynn Feynton-Its REALLY good! Its not as much world building because it takes place in Chicago, but there is still a big aspect of paranormal
, the male character it HOT, total alpha male, kinda reminds me of Christian Grey, (but without all the tormented soul business) and definitely not bdsm, as a matter of fact its a very slow build, but when it happens it is hot! I just started with this book and can see myself reading the series, this is book 1

message 8: by Marcelene (new)

Marcelene | 5 comments Yeah me too, so much time in between . Sounds nice I'll definitely check it out.

kind of off topic, but the next Arcana Chronicles is out next month. An amazing series. Check it out if you haven't already!

message 10: by Marcelene (new)

Marcelene | 5 comments Sure thing . Thanks :)

message 11: by Ela (new)

Ela | 12 comments This question may have already be asked so I apologize for any repetition, but Anyone know how many books are meant for IAD?

No idea, I think she has at least a couple more planned.

Any news about the Arcana Chronicles book that was supposed to be released this summer? =(

Jani | 7 comments I have a very random question and i don't know if anyone can answer it. In one of the books either Rydstrom or Cade's book the heroine talks about the brothers having Sith Ifrican accents. Now being from South Africa I have been deadly curious as to whether the author meant them to have South African accents? Or is Sith Ifrica supposed to be a place in the series? I know (thanks to our accents) many people refer to it as a sith ifrican accent, but idk its just been bothering me for like a year XD

message 14: by Gim (new)

Gim | 38 comments She is referring to it being a South African accent, just using the SA pronunciation to underline it.

message 15: by Sook-kuan (new)

Sook-kuan | 1 comments Does anyone know if there any updates on her next release? She has gone quiet and the next release has been delayed by a year based on Goodreads.

No idea about the next IAD but THE DARK CALLING in Arcana Chronicles series will coming out February 13th as she announced on her Facebook

message 17: by Wes books (new)

Wes books | 3 comments A Kresley Cole news letter from last week mentioned that "in perfect world there will be two IAD books" released this year!!! No word on who they will feature.

message 18: by (Nat) (new)

(Nat) Reading Romances (readingromances) | 18 comments So according to KC's latest newsletter, the hero for the next IAD book will be a werewolf! who do you think he might be?

hopefully its Munro

message 21: by Santy (new)

Santy (santylovesbooks) | 33 comments GUYS MUNRO IS GETTING FINALLY GETTING HIS BOOK!! IM SOOO EXCITED!!! 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

message 22: by Sarah Marie (new)

Sarah Marie | 36 comments Is this the appropriate thread to yell about how I need a new IAD book to read? Like just YELL REAL LOUD?!

Cause it's killing me. I held out a real long time on reading Wicked Abyss for this very reason. Now I'm bereft. And I adore Munro and I know it's been a long time coming but gods I NEED to know what's going on with this Accession. i.e. Nix. SIgh.

message 23: by Sarah Marie (new)

Sarah Marie | 36 comments And Kresley Cole is NOT active on social media like I need her to be. Like... a daily calm down for her rabid IAD fans would be helpful.

"Hey guys. I'm gonna write more books. It's all okay. Also here's a pic of my breakfast."

Or whatever. JUST TALK TO US WOMAN.

message 24: by Lulu (new)

Lulu (lulululu) | 268 comments She broke her leg is what was posted awhile back. Hopefully, she is fully recovered now.

In any case, it seems that the IAD is a back burner series for her, no matter that it was the series that really launched her career and popularity. I think she wrote some earlier historicals that were OK. It would certainly be nice if she posted more about the IAD and kept readers up to date. It's really a momentum killer for me. I have loved the series for so long but the details are starting to fade.

I don’t know if y’all saw this/heard this but it’s a podcast with KC and Gena Showalter from October. She addresses the Munro book but has not revealed a release date as of yet. Happy listening!!

message 26: by Sarah Marie (new)

Sarah Marie | 36 comments Oooooo thank you!

message 27: by Khrystyna (new)

Khrystyna | 37 comments Omg, I knew those 2 are friends and all but I don't want KC to get too close to Gena Showalter! Gena found Christ again and her books suffered for a few years.

message 28: by Gim (new)

Gim | 38 comments Thanks for this. Listening to them now..

Maaaaaaaan... I tried to read some Gena Showalter because she was in the Deep Kiss of Winter shared book. But I could NOT get into her style.

message 30: by K-Gorgeous (new)

K-Gorgeous | 56 comments Guys, Kresley just posted on her facebook for the first time since forever. Go see her post.

message 31: by Sarah Marie (new)

Sarah Marie | 36 comments I KNOW I SAW!!!!!! I yelled in it. So loud.

message 32: by Khrystyna (new)

Khrystyna | 37 comments Thank the lord, she remembers the IAD lol! Who the hell are Hotter and Kereny though? Either I they are some wayyyy secondary/newish characters OR it's been too long and the IAD details are getting fuzzy-vague in my mind (that's a problem as I need to remember those to properly enjoy the next book X-< ).

message 33: by Khrystyna (new)

Khrystyna | 37 comments wait, she the gypsy he rescues against her wishes and she curses his or something like that? that's honestly all I can vaguely remember lol

message 34: by Gim (new)

Gim | 38 comments It was right at the end of MacRieve, when they were in that other dimension with those weird warlocks that are using Lykae to make more lykae that they can control. they first showed up in Shadow's Claim, at the tournament.

message 35: by Lulu (new)

Yes, I remember this! It was so long ago though, I'm going to need to re-read a bunch before the next one eventually comes out.

message 36: by Sarah Marie (new)

Sarah Marie | 36 comments YAS. Everyone reread everything right away!

message 37: by Lulu (new)

Lulu (lulululu) | 268 comments So . . . anyone have any updated information? Munro was supposed to be next, the last I heard anything was end of 2018.

Is Kresley Cole still writing? I checked her FB and nothing posted for quite a while. I wish her the best and hope she can start publishing again.

message 38: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay | 80 comments There has been no word from KC, but Gena Showalter posted this on her Facebook page on October 13th.

Hey guys! I know many of you are worried about Kresley Cole. We are getting a massive amount of messages every single day with questions about her. Thank you for loving and supporting one of my favorite people on the planet. It makes my heart happy. But guys, I'm not comfortable sharing any details, nor is anyone working with me, so from now on the messages are going to go unanswered. I'm sorry for that, but her privacy means too much to me. I hope you understand.
Wishing you the best!
Gena

message 39: by Lulu (new)

Lulu (lulululu) | 268 comments Thanks, Lindsay. Gena's response also makes me worry that there is something to be concerned about. Hope all is well with KC. At least Gena can communicate with KC and let her know that her readers are asking about her.

message 40: by Eunice (last edited Nov 04, 2019 12:25PM) (new)

Eunice Lopez | 22 comments Oh no I hope she is okay!!! I have been faithfully waiting for Munro's book, and I hope she continues to write more in the future. IAD is one of the best paranormal series ever.

Also if any of you do not want to re-read the books just listen to season 1 of Fated Mates Podcast for a recap summary of each IAD book and funny interactions between podcast host SARAH MACLEAN & JEN PROKOP. Season 1 is all about the IAD series and I thoroughly enjoyed listening in because it just reminded me how much I love KC's work.

Again I hope she is doing okay.

message 41: by Ela (new)

Ela | 12 comments I hope all is well and we hear good news soon!

message 42: by Sarah Marie (new)

Sarah Marie | 36 comments Yeah, let's just send her all the good healing vibes no matter what.

Like, bad case scenario is that she never writes another book for us, but if she's healthy and happy that's all that matters. She's written so many amazing stories that I constantly re-read and I'd rather spend my energy being grateful and sending love no matter what.

message 43: by Lulu (new)

Lulu (lulululu) | 268 comments I heard that she might have broken her leg and is having issues with recovery (?) In any case, certainly sending her best wishes and lots of positive energy.

message 44: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay | 80 comments KC sent out a newsletter on Monday. She wrote that Munro and From The Grave (the last Arcana Chronicles book) will both be out next year. She didn't give a specific date, but said Munro will be out in the summer at the latest.

message 45: by Lulu (new)

Lulu (lulululu) | 268 comments Oh, that's great! Did she say anything about why she disappeared for months? I hope she is doing OK.

message 46: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay | 80 comments From her newsletter, I also posted this in the Munro book thread.

Hi folks!

I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful fall!

I'm very sorry for the delay in book news and releases and can't tell you how much I appreciate your patience. For Thanksgiving, I’m going to be giving thanks to you guys for being so amazing!

I'm delighted to tell you that we're on track for 2020 to have at least two releases: MUNRO and FROM THE GRAVE, the conclusion to the Arcana Chronicles.

MUNRO will drop in early summer at the latest, and FROM THE GRAVE will follow in the fall.

I will share the MUNRO preorder links as soon as they are available. Until then, check out this cover! (Poor Munro, he never knew what hit him when Kereny came into his life!)

message 47: by Lulu (new)

Lulu (lulululu) | 268 comments Thank you, Lindsay! Good news!

message 48: by Random (new)

Random | 3 comments So can anyone tell me why Ms. Cole is no longer being published by one of the big publishers? Did sales drop off so much she was let go from her contract? I see lately she's been self-publishing. I don't mind it but it likely means I won't get to read her future books since I depend on my library for my reading habit and they don't buy self-published books.

message 49: by Lulu (new)

Lulu (lulululu) | 268 comments From what I understand, Kresley underwent a legal battle to get back the rights to the IAD series. She wanted to self-publish. (She's also taken a break from writing due to an injury, at least, that's what I recall.)

Writers often make much more money by self-publishing though it is harder, and they have no help (or have to hire help that used to be provided by the publishing house.)

Many of my favorite PNR writers now self-publish and I've drifted away from reading them. It may be because I'm bored with the genre, but it is also because the quality of their writing declined. Books got shorter and I could see the lack of highly professional editing.

message 50: by Talia (new)

Talia | 18 comments Wait so does this mean the next iad is gonna take longer to come out 😭

And l don't know how you do it making loveee into nothing at all
