Brooke (thecovercontessa) I was wondering everyone's thoughts on this particular book. I just finished it two days ago and I can't get it out of my mind. I was a bit disappointed in it and that is making me upset. I wanted it to be this great book, because I had heard such great things about it, but it just didn't live up to what I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed it and finished it in less than 24 hours, but I just felt like there was something missing. Legend (Legend, #1) by Marie Lu

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) I liked this book and it kept me entertained the whole time. It helped that the narrator was good (I did the audio version). I always like books that are gray and not black and white, making you reconsider what is right and wrong.

I am looking forward to book two!

Kellyflower | 136 comments I almost had to put this one down because I disliked June so bad. But I stuck with it and am happy I did.
I liked that the book switched fonts and color between Day & June. It was easier to get into that characters frame of mind as soon as you see the font change.
I think Marie Lui has written a great 1st book in a trilogy. She's set the stage, introduced the characters, set the story in motion. Now we just wait for fall 2012 to read the second book.
I think I read somewhere that the rights have been bought to make this into a movie. It will be interesting to see what Mongolian/Caucasian actor they get to play "Day".

Ali | 6 comments I liked the book but found it hard to get into at first. I loved both protagonists but I hated the romance, it felt rushed and underdeveloped. I also hated their first kiss, it felt out of place. The great thing about this book was their was a lack of love triangle and damsels in distress.

Michele | 19 comments planning on reading it soon....

I can't believe this book came out a year ago but I only heard of this month. My husband pointed it out to me, while we were looking at best seller lists and trying to figure out books to buy for my students. No, I didn't buy it for my students, but I did add it to my list of summer books to read. :-)
