I was walking down the street one cool morning.

Just as i was turning around to head home, i realised someone had been following me.

I turned around fast enough to see someone duck behind a tree.

My heart was thudding in my chest and i started to run home.

As they jumped out from behind the tree and shouted " BOO ". It was my best friend Jackie

I whirled around and stalked over towards the tree.

"Jackie! That was not funny.!" I was upset, but relieved it wasn't someone, or something else.

Jackie was giggling hysterically at my reaction, and i scowled.

"Oh that was hilarious." She giggled. "I said no it wasnt Jackie i asked you to stop doing that" I said annoyed

At seeing my scowl, Jackie's grin vanished. "Look, I'm sorry." Jackie said. "But you should've seen your face!" And just like that the smile was back.

I gave in and smiled at her, my fear and anger vanishing.

"Shall we head back to my place?" I asked jackie

"Sure. I heard True Bloods is on tonight." I grinned at her. She's a pain but she's still my best friend. The grin didn't last long though.

Someone else seemed to be following us, so said to jackie "race you home?"

We took off, and i thought i heard someone laugh behind me.

I ran even faster just trying to concentrate on the cold wind slaming into my face. Nothing else, nothing else.

Pumping my legs faster and faster i abruptly realised that i was at my front door with Jackie close on my heels.

Once inside Jackie asked "Why were we running so fast?"

"Ohh, I just wanted to beat you. You know, show off my umm.. running skills."

"Right....okay, well lets go and watch True blood now" Jackie said nervously

"Okay, ill be there in a sec, i just need to go and get a glass of water." i said, walking to the kitchen.

Once in the kitchen i got a cup and filled it with water, before i realised i wasnt alone in there. I screamed.

If it was any other moment, I would have laughed at how funny the scene was.

i heard Jackie yell "Zoey! Are you all right?" from the other room, but i was frozen, staring.

"No Jackie come quick, help me please. Theres someone here" I yelled.

Jackie rushed in and i turned to her, my eyes wide with fear.

She came over to me and said "Who was it cause there isn't anyone here anymore"

"What are you talking about, Jackie? His right --" i turned around and stopped talking, there was no one there.

"Hunny are you feeling okay?" Jackie asked

i blinked. where the hell did he go? "I, um... sorry i thought i saw something. i must of imagined it." i said.

"Thats alright hun its still a little earlier than normal" She said cooly, then asked "Did you want to go back to bed?"

"Nuuh, lets go watch True Blood." i said, trying to forget what i just saw.

"Alright then" Jackie said as we entered the living room.

But even so, i couldn't shake his image just now from my mind.

"Do you think I'm going crazy Jackie?" I asked

Jackie looked at me nervously and then glanced quickly away, "No, i think you're just under stress." Then she perked up, "Come on. True Blood will make you feel better." She said with a grin.

"Alright then, can you get me some water please?" I asked her nicely.

"Sure Hun, I'll be right back." Jackie mumbled quietly whilst looking at me suspiciously.

I checked outside the window to see if anyone was out there; there was no one.

Jackie handed me a glass of water when she came back from the kitchen and i sipped it, sitting on the couch.

I was feeling very scared of what could of been in my kitchen as True blood started.

True Blood was our favorite TV show, but I barely caught a word.

Sighing irritably, i told myself to forget what i saw and watch the show.

Once i had decided that it was over.

Getting up off the couch, my body was trembling slightly.

"Can you walk me to my room?" I asked Jackie.

She smiled at me, pushed herself off the couch and held my hand.

walking up the stairs with my BFF, we walked into my very pink and sparkly room.

Every time jackie comes into my room she giggles and I always blush in embarrassment, but now I watched her and she made no sound. Her eyes cautiously scanned my room.
