Colleen Robledo Greene (colleengreene) Welcome fellow readers! You can introduce yourself here if you'd like.

Hello, I'm not a librarian (but in another life I think that's the job I should have chosen!). However, I do like reviewing and recommending books. So I hope you don't mind if I join the party. Looking forward to reading some of the books you recommend too.

I live in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

Eklektikeyez | 1 comments (Hi, Fiona!)

First of all, Yay! Christian librarians. :D

If I wasn't in the process of earning a Bachelor's degree to then move onto a Master's in Library Science I would think that a "Christian" librarian was a myth. I've never actually met one before.

Oh, yeah. My name is Yvonne but my friends call me Yvie (pronounced E.V.)

I've been on GoodReads for a couple of years but have only decided to try again because I downloaded the app onto my iPhone.

Christina Matson | 1 comments Hi, I have just joined this group. I live in New Zealand and have a small farm in Pokeno. I have three children and 2 grandchildren, all of whom I love dearly. I was the church choir leader for many years until writing became my passion. I write for a national magazine and a local ecology emagazine. I have just had me second book 'The One' released on the 17th December 2015. I am currently writing its sequel.

Blessings to everyone who reads in your group.
Christina.

CAROL ELLIOTT | 2 comments Hi, My name is Carol Elliott, and I have joined this book club in order to publicise my book. It is called HE RESTORES MY SOUL, and is published by Author House. I hope this is not too cheeky. It is just that my book can help so many hurting people.

S. Runyan (finaldraftministries) | 2 comments I'm not a part of an association of librarians but now that I know such a thing exists I want to be! In the meantime I just wanted to say thank you for allowing me to join this group. It doesn't look very active but I hope to make some new relationships and engage in some exciting literary and theological discussions.

Al Nickerson | 3 comments I created a trailer for my Christian graphic novel, THE SWORD OF EDEN: SHINOBI…

https://youtu.be/fsUpF82kNFg

Ninja Spider is back from the dead; and he wants Nemish-Man, Crusader Girl, and Super Dead to travel with him to Japan to battle the Scarred Fist Ninja Clan. Will they? And can all of our heroes be trusted?

The idea of dying is scary to some folks. The themes of THE SWORD OF EDEN: SHINOBI focus on death, idolatry, and seeking eternal life without the one who came to give us eternal life. Many turn to things like dead religion in hopes of salvation. They turn away from the Messiah, and by doing so, they turn to things that can’t save anyone.

Also, the graphic novel includes the soon-to-be-famous short story, "Dang Cabbages!"

Plus, THE SWORD OF EDEN: SHINOBI features the first appearance of the latest super-hero sensation... Dareduck!

THE SWORD OF EDEN: SHINOBI is a 100-page black-and-white trade paperback. It is a super-hero Christian graphic novel.

The first 100 copies of the first printing of THE SWORD OF EDEN: SHINOBI will be signed and numbered. Future reprintings will not be numbered.

Recommended for preteen to, and including, adult readers.

Luke 3:15-17 (English Standard Version): 15 As the people were in expectation, and all were questioning in their hearts concerning John, whether he might be the Christ, 16 John answered them all, saying, “I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 17 His winnowing fork is in his hand, to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.”

Matthew Benzing | 1 comments Hi, I’m a Christian in an academic library. The environment here is quite Christophobic. Just curious if there is anyone else in the same situation.
