Metamorphoses This book I have read in both in its original Latin and in English translation. One of my favorite Latin poets because he brings characters from mythology to real-life in his poetry. So I would say if you like reading poetry or mythology, you should read this book (whichever version is best for you).
Awesome. We're reading sections of that book for my Mythology class right now.(not the whole thing though- maybe when I have more time)
The Ides of March This book I read in tribute for the Ides of March coming up this month and celebration in my Latin class. It is a semi-historical account of events in Roman History but distorted a little. It was kinda of interesting, and if anyone likes to read books about Caesar you should consider trying this one out.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter My mother and I were attracted to this book by just its cover. Honestly, I thought I would not like this book, but it turned out to be really intriguing. If anyone likes to read paranormal or alternative history books, this book is for you. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone--just give it a try.
I am Number Four is a science fiction with kind of a fantasy feel to it. It is in present tense, which for me feels weird, but I enjoyed it. I feel a little bit like the characters were not developed enough, but that may come in later books. It is the first of a series. Overall, I think it was definitely worth reading, and I look forward to finishing the series(if only they would come out).
I read Graceling a while back. I LOVED it! It made my five-star shelf. Graceling was just a really entertaining read, and is the first book in a fantasy series by Kristin Cashore. I didn't like the prequel Fire as much, although it was still enjoyable. I am really looking forward to the sequel Bitterblue, which is coming out later this year. I would definitely recommend reading Graceling.
Pride and Prejudice may be the best book I've ever read. I first read it three years ago, and I have read it three or four times total. It is a romance by Jane Austen. I highly recommend this book. The characters are loveable(or hateable) but they all seem real. I LOVE this book!! It also made my five-star shelf.
