I think she is strong trying to do the right thing for not just herself but everyone. I love that she's not crying and falling apart every 5 minutes. She seems more real with her decision making and mistakes and with what she has done right. I think if she had been written to perfect we would not have connected to her as we have. She was written to elicite compassion, empathy, and to cheer her on and mourn with her on her loses. She is one of the best heroines to come out in literature in a while.
I agree with Rachel. I felt for Katniss the whole entire book. I loved her courage the whole series and she was always trying to save everyone else. I think she was really a heroine everyone can feel for and love. I mean yes there were times where I thought she was crazy and a bit immature and irrational, but what character can't be.
I think that Katniss needs to start acting like a normal person. I want to see some human emotion, girl!!She acts like a robot or something. Everything seems programmed and forced.
Maybe Peeta can help her, seeing that he is so sweet and caring!
I like that she is broken (for lack of better word) in the next books. For me it kind of makes her more realistic. Because I mean, like you said, how could you not be after what she has been through. If she had just come out of the games perfectly normal like nothing had happened, I don't think I would have liked her as much. I like unrealistic in books, but I also like somewhat realistic actions and flaws in characters.

Same here but I think she becomes too self-centered in the end because she only tries to save her and her friends and family when there are so many more people out there dying...
