Hannah | 38 comments So we all read. We've established that fact. But who writes? Just wondering if there is anyone else around her that loves to write as much as they love to read books.

And while we're on the subject, you might enjoy this comedy-chick-flick that I'm working on here on goodreads. A lot of my friends have enjoyed it and I have so much fun writing it. It's YA.

Hannah | 38 comments :D All to their own. I have a friend like that. I've only read little itty bits.

marta (rosefingereddawn) I love to write! In this moment, I only write in portuguese. But I am trying to improve my english in order to have the possibility of showing my writing to other people.
I love that feeling of being complete when I am writing. It warms my soul.
And of course I could say more about that sensation. However, it is complex, complicated, simple, personal. It is the reality of everything and nothing.

Page_2_Pen | 1 comments I write childrens books, poetry, short stories, articles and a blog :) I love to write as much as I love to read!

Denise (dulcinea3) | 307 comments It's not really writing, but sometimes I do what I call 'magnetic haiku'. I have one of those magnetic word sets, and once in a while I pull out a bunch of random words and try to make haiku out of them. It's fun! Maybe once I have a lot of them, I will try to put them together in a book of some sort.

I love writing, too! I mostly write short stories of events in my life on my blog. I also just love writing on my blog :)

message 8: by Veritas (new)

Veritas (umbra_veritatis) | 17 comments I enjoy writing but never posted any of them to shy for that. I mostly write poems and random short stories based in medieval timeline sometimes with a magical element

message 9: by Thalia (new)

Thalia (thaliaanderson) | 359 comments I love to write, and hopefully I'll someday be an author, since I want to get a job being an editor for fiction books. (: But I'm really spazzy about people reading my work because I'm paranoid of being stolen from, hahah. Once, somebody downloaded one of my videos from youtube and uploaded it as their own, and since then, all my internet art is watermarked and my writer, if it's serious, has neve been seen. XD Only my "editor" in Germany has read my serious stories.

Although a really condensed first chapter of one I've been working on it on Figment:
http://figment.com/books/161021-Rumen...

I also reread my stuff a lot and always end up hating it. OTL But a Mortal Instruments short won third place in a contest once, so I'm a little more confident about my writing than I used to be, hahah.

Catherine | 0 comments I'm a translator, so, in a sense, I do a lot of writing, but usually with another's words. :)
That doesn't necessarily make it any less arduous or creative though... Try translating poetry!

message 11: by April (new)

April | 570 comments I do not write...my imagination is at the mercy of others...but my husband writes. He just published his first book The Norseman (The Norseman Chronicles) and he's currently sitting across from me about a quarter of the way done with Book 2! So proud of him! ...and let me just say...it's not easy being married to an author! Sheesh... You'd think I could get some insider info...or have some sway with some characters...but NAW! The only benefit I get is being able to read the story as it's coming out...and sometimes that is NOT a benefit...because when I want to keep going, but he hasn't written it yet..it's not like I can stop in at a bookstore and purchase it! Egads! But, it is fun...his imagination amazes me! All of you who write amaze me! Hence the reason I love reading...people who write have amazing minds...and I love getting my chance to travel around in there! Kudos to any and all who pick up the "pen" and put their ideas into words!

message 12: by Jana (new)

Jana (janaandbooks) I just started writing recently. I started out as a kid really liking it, and around 8th grade I switched from writing to "living in stories" as I like to fondly refer to acting sometimes.

Now that I've graduated from college and am no long forced to write all the time, I'm starting to like it a lot! I'm taking my first writing class ever, but I feel like it's making reading less fun because I'm becoming a more critical reader...*sigh* some day I need to learn how to have a hobby.

Grouphug | 2 comments I love writing so much, even more than so than reading books these days. I share my stuff too, i got some stuff on this website, check it out

message 14: by Denise (new)

Denise (dulcinea3) | 307 comments I wrote a haiku for all of you. This isn't using my magnetic set; I just made it up myself.

Let's get the dust off!

I've thought of a lot of third lines, but not completely satisfied with any of them.

message 15: by Dalynn (new)

Dalynn (dalynnrmc) Very cute Denise! <3

I write... or used to, or kind of, or wanna-be, or something like that.

Nothing recent, except a single paragraph and some character outlines for a Christian post-apocalyptic novel. I have a whole file on this computer with writing ideas. One of these days I'll get some of them hashed out! Probably not so long as I have two toddlers though. Maybe in a couple of years. ;)

I do blog. Supposedly. Haven't blogged except once or twice since Christmas though. Thought I'd write some on there from time to time but I'm doing well to blog at all ever, let alone spend the time needed to come up with fiction. Good intentions and all!
