I'm a bit of an Andrews fangirl when it comes to the Kate Daniels series. I enjoy the vision of the world, a sort of post-apocalypse of magic returning to the world, but shifting back and forth between magic and the technology we know. Kate's one of my favorite heroines. Along with being a bit more of a 'brawn' than a 'brain,' she's funny--but not inappropriately so--unlike other leads, she's usually not breaking out the quips during a fight for her life.
Don't forget their world-building skillz. It is great. Their Edge series, the Kate Daniels series and the Kinsmen series all exist in very, very different world spaces that all feel really complete and immersive.
I absolutely adore Kate. I loved Rose too. I agree with you on the world-building.
Kat, I think their other series are as good, so far as I have read. But then, I'm just in love with their writing.
I am in love with their writing too -- although I prefer Kate Daniels and the Kinsmen over the Edge. I think it must be such a great gig to write with your spouse, I would love it.
Love the world building in both the Kate and Edge series, although as a series, I prefer Kate.Thought I'd share, there's a new short story from Curran's POV on their website:

Love all the shorts they give us between books!

Many know her for the Kate Daniels series, but she also has a paranormal romance series, The Edge, and a futuristic series the Kinsmen.
IMO, Andrews is brilliant at dialogue, snark, and action, with complex characters that involve you in the story.
