Sasha slipped into the empty dining hall and sat in the farthest seat from the door, near one of the large windows. She thanked the staff when one of them brought her her meal, and then she turned her chair so it was facing out the window, propped her feet on the windowsill, and ate.
Wayde entered the Dining Hall and took a seat as a waiter came to give them supper. He noticed Sasha by the window but didn't say anuthing. She's probably mad at me, He thought.
Sasha gritted her teeth and refused to turn around. They sound close, she noticed. For only having known each other a matter of minutes. Then she wondered why she cared.
He smiled. "No problem." Glancing over to where Sasha was gripping he fork so tightly it was in danger of breaking, he sighed sadly.
((Haley, please join my group Mystic Falls :) Its really awsum! http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/6...))
she saw sasha and saw her gritting her teeth and looked at wayde."i think i should leave"she was really sad to leave wayde."see you around"she said.
The new girl left before Sasha had a chance to answer, which was probably a good thing because she had no idea 'how she was' at the moment.
"yeah..!"she felt real sad...she looked down and said"why don't you come to my room after dinner.we can talk"she said in a sad tone.she didn't even drink a drop of water.she walked fast to her room.
He blinked a few times in confusion. Shaking his head a started to eat. "Girls!" He murmered to himself.
Looking up from his dinner and raised an eyebrow at her. "Oh, so you're talking to me again, are you?"
"I'll take your non-response as a 'yes'," Sasha said, asking the next staff member she saw for a mug of hot chocolate. "And it's not like you look thrilled to be talking to me anyway, so what's it matter?"
Gouri wrote: "allison was crying in wayde's head.she couldn't control her powers."(can Shadowhunters do that?)
She glared at him, and realized she didn't have a good response. "Who says I care?" she finally replied. "I'm merely making conversation."
"No." She wasn't letting him off that easy. "What do you think about me? You 'say I do' what?" she repeated challengingly.
"Why would I?" she shouted back. She was standing now, hands gripping the edge of the table, though she didn't recall getting out of her seat.
Her green eyes flashed as she met his gaze. "No, you're right. Why WOULD it bother me that in the hour you've known her you've already gotten yourself invited to the new girl's room?!" she says, voice still raised.
His hands were gripping the table very hard and his knuckles were raised. He leaned forward. "EXACTLY!"
She unintentionally mirrored his stance. "I'm sure you two will be very happy together!" she said in a voice that suggested the opposite.
"SO WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING HERE?" Sasha yelled. "Don't want to keep her waiting, do you?!" Her heart was pounding furiously in her throat, the way it did during arguments like this.
"I DON'T KNOW!" He could feel his pulse hammering in his neck and was so close to Sasha he could see the individual specks of colour in her green eyes.
She knew she was being completely irrational, but she couldn't stop. Wayde, who she'd only ever seen calm, was furious. His blue-green eyes were steely, jaw clenched. The still rational part of her mind noted the the stubble on his cheeks and the angles of his face. But the unreasonable side of her shouted: "DON'T LET ME STOP YOU!"
Sasha kept expecting Wayde to turn and walk away, to storm out, but he didn't move, he didn't back away from her. "WELL?" she cried. "I'm sure she's wondering where you are!"
Sasha stiffened in surprise; this was the last thing she expected. But, pulse still hammering, she found her eyes fluttering shut and her lips moved willingly against his.
His hands moved up to cup her face, all the pent up anger and frustration from the fight draining away.
After a long moment, Sasha pulled back, hands resting on his chest, breathing uneven. She hated to ask, but: "What about..." she faltered when she realized she still didn't know the new girl's name. "That other girl?" she finished.
Sasha surprised herself by laughing quietly. She couldn't help it: she kissed him again lightly. "I think you just answered the question," she smiled.
