You always forget your dreams. Always.

But are they really lost?

Or are they sent somewhere? To a place we least expect?

Your subconscious comes to life after a seemingly harmless party you attend, and upon drinking the apple cider served to you by your friend's new butler, you realize that ever since the party, you couldn't dream. You get the vaguest idea of what you had dreams, but you can't quite reach out and hold it in your mind's eye.

It is completely lost, and in the hands of this man, who turns it into a virtual world for you to step into and experience the dreams in full.

But where would you go? Where could you go?

The only way out, it seems, is if you try to find your own dreams, and find that portal back to the real world.

Would you?

Because when you leave, you can never go back.



You guys can start with the drinking and the loss of dreams, and then slowly lead your characters into Dreamland whenever you feel, but don't pull your characters out so soon, otherwise the fun is ruined, got it? This is when we can let loose our most curious subconscious dreams and put our characters into the situations that aren't natural.

appearance: pale complexion, light green eyes, dirty blonde, straight hair that reaches her elbows and she usually just keeps in a low side braid or pony tail.

Personality:Sabine's quite shy but she's known for taken sudden ricks that people don't expect. She's a great a loyal friend,kind to those who are kind to her.

background: She grew up jumping to different foster homes and not very nice ones. Since she never liked to be home she'd spend her time in the library reading fantasies and books about the impossible. The books started to give strange nightmares and it's almost like they wouldn't end. She'd think about them long after they were over and the next night it would continue or start over.
Dream Genre: nightmare/inspiring/down right impossible.

Other: there is always someone in her dreams with her though she can never make out the face. She only know the name. Willy.

Name: Jonathan Woodland (Jack)

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Appearance: He's 5'11", with broad shoulders and defined muscles that cord his body like taught rope. He has a square jaw, a light shadow of a dark beard, small lips, and straight nose. His hair is usually spiked in the front, almost naturally since he does it so much. He has deep, sapphire eyes framed with long, dark lashes. His smile is the most attractive of it all though.

Personality: He's tough, and that's all he shows to people on the outside. But inside, he's gentle, caring, close to the people he loves. Though he's a jackass sometimes, and he's reckless and careless. He seems to empathize with most all feelings others deal with every day.

Background: He grew up with his single mother, pregnant at eighteen. His mother had a boyfriend she loved dearly, though he disappeared unexpectedly for long periods of time. When he was nine he always worried her boyfriend would leave them like his real father left her years ago, but he always came back with love in his eyes. His mother loved him so much too. When he was a teenager, the man who was like his father took him on one of his 'business trips' as he had called them, and he discovered that his mother's boyfriend hunted down men with weird boxes they carried around with them. It was that business trip Jack went on, that his father-figure died. Ever since then, Jack was on his own, never having gone back to his heartbroken mother.

Dream Genre: He dreams of better times, often having dreams about a real family dinner, being with his mother again. But often he has nightmares of men in lab coats, carrying boxes of silver with tasers that could kill a man in one sting. He watches his adoptive dad die over and over every night.

Other: He's on his own now, traveling and drinking and partying it up with people he doesn't even know, and trying desperately to find a job so he can stop stealing from gas station stores.

Personality: He's a player, always someone with a group around him. People think it's just because he's some big-shot popular kid, but really, he's afraid of being alone. He has a lot of fears that control his life.
Background: He lived with his mom and dad, who was abusive all his childhood. When he was a kid, he was always afraid, and that kind of transferred. He always wanted people around because he learned that being surrounded by people meant he was safer. So he stays with crowds. His father divorced her mother, and Cale tries to put as much distance between him as possible.
Dream Genre: Nightmares, all the time. He see's small spaces, screams in the dark, pain, isolation, and his dad in them all the time.
Other: He's been known to never really commit to relationships, because committing means telling all your secrets. He doesn't want to talk about his past at all, because of all the abuse. Was a cutter at one point, still struggling with it.

Name: Roxanne
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Appearance: Roxanne has the kind of hair that you'd find in shampoo commercials. It's a rich, dark brown bordering on black and trails perfectly smooth to midway down her back, looking like she spends hours on it. Which she does. Her eyes are a nice, normal looking brown, but they're shaped uniquely, giving her a sort of exotic look. Her skin is rather olive but not enough to distinguish her as any sort of nationality. She's just... Normal. And short.

Personality: Roxanne can be described in two words: Control. Freak. Everything to her has to be work and immaculate. She has virtually no social life. She does have friends who put up with the fact that they hardly see her, and she's generally liked by people, but she's pretty much absorbed in her work.
Background: Roxanne was adopted and never really cared. She knew she was adopted but never bothered to find out who her real parents were. She'd asked once when she was nine and her mother freaked. Since then she decided her adopted parents were her parents. Straight A student and even graduated early. She's been working on getting a job with a design company but no one wants to hire her anywhere huge because she's so young and looks even younger.
Dream Genre: Her dreams usually consist of failing in some way, whether it's huge or little. Even if it's not necessarily a failure dream, it's usually accompanied with an overwhelming sense of failure. She has romantic dreams a lot--she figures it's because she doesn't have a social life and never had a boyfriend--but can never see his face or anything specific. Just that he's always significantly taller than her and has startling, something-coloured eyes.

Appearance: Short, blond hair that can never seem to stay where it should. Large, deer blue eyes. Kind of chubby but not quite fat. Just kid chubby.
Personality: Aaron's pretty chipper most of the time. He's bipolar a lot and hates girls but loves his baby sister. He adores racecars and dinosaurs.
Background: He's had a normal life, but when he was three--just six short months ago-- he and his mom walked in on a robbery. Since then, he's hardly been able to sleep. He doesn't remember his dreams most of the time, but has night terrors at least once a night.
Dream Genre: Night terrors, usually of the robbery.
Other: I'm still trying to decide how I can chuck him into dreamland or if I'll just make him a background character for someone else.

Name: Cassey Bridge

Personality: Cassey seems distracted and distant at times, but she's very sweet and kind. She's polite and well mannered, and a little soft-spoken, but whe. You get to know her, she really opens up. She's a little random, and sometimes has a momentary panic attack, but those are few and far between. Se does have a tendency to keep human contect all the time. She might hold your hand, put an arm around your shoulders, or just be close enough to touch you. Really touchy-feely kind of person.
Background: When Cassey was young, she was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Her parents, who don't know anything about mental illnesses, grew a little cautious. They thought they'd done something wrong. Cassey thought she had done something wrong, so she really tried to be a good kid. She was polite, didn't speak unless spoken to, minded her manners, even left little notes around for he parents so they knew she loved them.
Then, they had another kid, a girl, Ellie. She didn't have any physical or mental issues, so Cassey's parents showed a slight favoritism. Cassey was upset, but she didn't want to bother her parents. So, she stayed as the outsider of the family, the quiet one, while her parents nurtured her little sister. She doesn't blame her. In fact, she loves her, possibly more than her parents do.
Her schizophrenia is mostly mild, but it does flare up sometimes. When it does, she'll have panic attacks, and needs someone to calm her until it passes.
Dream Genre: She has lots of dreams about places and people and things, trying to decide if they're real or not.
Other: She wears a locket in the shape of a heart with a picture of her sister, and never takes it off. When she's having a panic attack, it helps her to just look at the picture, know her sister is okay.

Name: Aura Banks

Gender: Female
Appearance: She has long, blond hair with dark, almost black almond-shaped eyes. She's skinny and small, but she has a very feminine touch to her personality and her appearance.
Personality: She's very one tracked and tolerant of anyone and anything. She acts on impulse and takes what she can, but she's very dutiful and surpasses her fellow...coworkers.
Background: She was caught up in the frenzy of Dreamland years ago, but she escaped once. She remembers nothing of her life before that. She only knows the dreams she had once lived like her real life. When she came back, the scientists took her away to their lairs and brainwashed her. She served them for a long time (still is, but only lightly). She became obnoxiously rebellious once though, because they wanted her to do something dangerous, and she wouldn't do it. Her refusal is kept on a record they have, and her whole identity is wiped from the world. She is a ghost in the real world.
Dream Genre: She often dreams of Dreamland when she's not there. Her dreams are twisted and confused, not knowing which was reality, and which was fantasy. Often, her dreams consist of a boy who might one day turn her around and help her.
