Sarah Here you can post ideas for games we can do. Once I have approved it, you can set it up. Be sure to include rules and how to play.

cαssιe ♥ | 526 comments Well in this other group they have this game called Word Association. You write a word and the other person has to find a word that is somewhat related to it.

For example:

One person says: Red
Another person says: Apple

message 3: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Ah. Cool :) I'll set it up.

That's a good idea . You can create that game. And Kaya... What?

ali ᵏᵉᵉᵖ ʸᵒᵘʳ ᵐᵒᵘᵗʰ ˢʰᵘᵗ (time_wont_fly) Ok Its called I'm sorry Mrs. Smith.

All posts start with I'm sorry Mrs. Smith, and you make up ideas about why you were late for school.

Ex: I'm sorry Mrs. Smith but I got lost in my closet searching for Narnia.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Heh that's a good one!

message 17: by Sarah (new)

Sarah AWESOME! LOVE IT! YOU CAN CREATE THAT ONE :)

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

i saw this on another discussion here are the rules

1. I say a word
2. You type the first word that comes to mind when you look at the word I typed
3. Then the next person looks at your word and types the first thing that comes into their mind

message 20: by Sarah (new)

Sarah We sorta have that already. Word association game.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

How about?

1. I say a word or a phrase or even a sentence.
2. You type the specific emotion it brings up for you.

If I may I would like to be the only person submitting the initial words because this is part of an experiment for a story I am writing. Thanks.

message 22: by Kortni (new)

Kortni | 46 comments Cover wars

1.someone says "find me a cover with a *blank* on it
2 someone else adds the cover and so on.

Example: find me a book with an apple on it
Someone else: Twilight (Twilight, #1) by Stephenie Meyer find me a book with a flower on it.

And so on

message 23: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Okay :) You tso can set them up :)

message 24: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Okay. :) Set it up :)

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Did you say it was okay to set up my game too? The one with the emotion response to a word?

message 26: by єɱɱą (new)

єɱɱą (singsang) | 226 comments omg! i just thought of a really cool game!!!

In another group we have a game called Wish Corrupter. One person makes a wish, the other corrupts it and then makes their own wish.

For example:

Person A: I wish I had an apple.
Person B: Granted, but it's rotten. I wish I could run fast.
Person C: Granted, but then you'd run so fast you wouldn't be able to control stopping or turning. I wish I could read minds.

Etc, etc, etc.

Another game is Get to Know Your Character (Popcorn Served). It might not technically be a game, but it's a thread where you can have conversations with a character in a book you're writing, or even your muse.
Here's an example from another group, a conversation between me and my muse:

Albert: C'mon share with me!
Me: NO! Get your blueberries away from me.
Albert: Why? They're delicious! (He fills his mouth with a large handful of blueberries.)
Me: No they're not. They taste like rancid... rancid... Well I don't know, but they taste like rancid SOMETHING.
Albert: What is it with you and the word rancid? Rancid yogurt, rancid milk, water at summer camp that tasted like rancid--
Me: OKAY! We get it. And rancid is . . . a very accurate word for many of the things I consume.
Albert: (Laughs.) Well don't mind me, I'm just going to finish that slice of pizza in the fridge. And smother it in ranch. And eat it cold.
Me: EWW!!!! That's--
Albert: What? Rancid?

message 32: by Sarah (new)

Sarah I like the first idea, but I don't really get the second one...

message 33: by Cheyenne, HoH & Proud (new)

Cheyenne | 665 comments Mod
Yeah the second one takes a while to understand. Mostly it's for writers. If someone is writing a book or something then they have book characters, right? So in this thread you would get to know the characters you created by talking with them popcorn served. (Hopefully I cleared that up.) Or most of the time in my case you can get to know your muse. Andd, for a writer a muse is the creative part of our mind that takes on a personality. As you saw above, my muse's name is Albert.

The game is really silly and very, very fun. One person's post doesn't have to have anything to do with another person's post. Here, I'll go look in my other group and see if the mods explained it better there. If they did I'll copy and paste their explanation here for you.

message 35: by Cheyenne, HoH & Proud (new)

Cheyenne | 665 comments Mod
Nope, the way they explained it was: Have conversations with your characters!

Yeah.. It takes a bit to get used to, but it's one of my favorites.

Another game: Two Truths, One Lie. (Kind of self explanatory but here you go)

One person would put down three statements numbered one through three. Two would be truths and one would be a lie. Others would have to guess which one is the lie. Example:

1. I like kiwis
2. I like apples
3. I like blueberries

Several people guess and then I tell them three was the lie. And the three things can be anything you want, they don't have to relate to each other at all. And it isn't formal in the way that you have to take turns, because sometimes it takes a long time for someone to get back on to tell which one was the lie. If you took turns then people could wait for days before they got to put one their own sets of three up.

Ali wrote: "ohh.."

Did my explanation make more sense that time? (Sometimes I find I'm HORRIBLE at explaining things.)

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

I guess you hate kiwis?

Cheyenne | 665 comments Mod
Heheheh, one and two are true, three is a lie. Kiwis are my favorite fruit :p It's a really fun game. Oh, forgot to mention that the three things DO have to be about yourself. Except for the lie of course!

Once Sarah approves a game, do we create the topic ourselves or does she??

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

sorry, I don't know. I love blueberries!

message 41: by Cheyenne, HoH & Proud (new)

Cheyenne | 665 comments Mod
I hate them with a passion.

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

Cheyenne wrote: "I hate them with a passion."

I had an allergic reaction to kiwi's which is why I guessed that one.

Cheyenne | 665 comments Mod
Oh wow, she said at the top that once it's approved you can set it up. I'm so observant... Anyways, I don't know if she 'approved' it or not though.. So I guess I'll wait until she gets on again to make sure.

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, its best to wait. Sometimes I jump the gun on these things.

message 48: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Two truths an one lie is approved :)
