Dee (austhokie) | 652 comments After taking a month off (sorry guys! I know I haven't been around much)

Who would you guys like to feature in March?

Reminder - must have at least 3 books published

ETA - I'll leave nominations up until the 22nd, and then we'll vote through the 29th

Susan (susanthomas) How about Kjell ErikssonKjell Eriksson.

Tom Torkelson Welcome back, Everyone!
I'd like to nominate Henning Mankell, as he has a ton of stand-alone novels, and there's probably members in various places in the Wallander series.
I know I could use a good excuse to get into another Mankell novel!

I'd be happy to get back to Wallander, so I'm a winner regardless!

I'm good with him too, Dee! That would give me a chance to go back and read Snow Angels. I joined after the group had already read that and ended up reading Lucifer's Tears out of sequence.

Dee (austhokie) | 652 comments i need to read LT and i'm planning on taking a Mental health day (aka sick day) when Helsinki White comes out

message 8: by Martha (new)

Martha (marthas48) I'm wanting to read Snow Angels as well. Couldn't get to it when the group read it. I also have Faceless Killers by Mankell so I'm ok with either. I want to get into more of the Nordic Noir books. Have them stacking up on me at home. :-)

message 9: by Ellen (new)

Ellen (elliearcher) I would love for us to read James Thompson-I have Snow Angels just waiting for me to bump it up my list.

Thank you Dee. That made me feel really good.
Best, Jim

Ed (oct1647) | 8 comments My vote also goes to Jim Thompson for his new Insp. Vaara book coming out this month. I liked the first two very much because his books are not plotted in a formulaic way I read so much these days. Personally, it's tedious reading fiction that reads like an action movie when I'm really looking for comlexity in characters, plot lines, originality and style. Jim Thompson gets it!

James Thompson (jamesthompson) | 228 comments Thanks Ed. I just hope the book lives up to your expectations.

Just Typed THE END in the next book in the Inspector Vaara series this week.
