Um.. does anyone else see that this book is pretty much exactly like Haddix's series w/ found, sent and Sabotaged?? ... Sorry James but that kind of made me sad! you have a lot more potential than that!!.... Love you Still!!! you're still an amazing author!!!!!!!!!!!! <3

Yeah, it is noticeably similar. I think that Haddix handled the different time periods much better though. I don't know about anyone else, but when I read the Infinity Ring, I felt like the past was very poorly done; it just didn't feel like a change in time. If I hadn't been told specifically then the story could have taken place at any point in history on any boat. The only thing that made it "special" was that it named the captain Columbus.
