anyone else have non-bookish friends?
I have recently converted a friend to books. She'd never read a book in her life (outside of school), and I hooked her in with Twilight (because she's already a fan of the movies), quickly followed up with TMI and that was a HUGE winner!!! It was great to share my love of all things Shadowhunter with a new convert. Although all through the first two books she was constantly at me - please tell me they're not really brother and sister.....
I totally get what you're saying though Aycal. Some of us obsessed people get so involved in our books, people don't understand the emotional attachment. I'm constantly told to 'get a real life' LOL.
Agreed. Lots of my friends don't like me talking about books. It's not like they don't read them, but my reads are usually angels, werewolves or faeries so I always try to keep my ideas to myself because I know it will annoy the hell out of them.
YES AND ITS SOOOOOO ANNOYING>one of my friends tells me and my other fantasy romance book lover buddies not to talk about books around her because it makes her feel left out. im like YOU SHOULD READ THEM TOO! theyre SOOSOSOSO good! but she's like no...so i've kinda given up trying.
I CAN TOTALLY RELATE. I have about two friends that actually read. It bugs me soooo much! Everyone is like, "Why read when you can text and watch TV?" Yeah, well, they're missing out. More books for us! ;)
I can soo a understand. my best friend didnt understand how i felt about books. she hated reading until one day i convinced her to read a good book. she said i changed her way for taking books for granted. she loves to read now!
I only have one friend that likes to read, other than that everyone else is like "Stop talking about books, they're not real or interesting." They are totally missing out on all the fun in a book <3

lmao I was hibernating in chapters too, im not joking i stayed in that store for 3 hours until the epmloyee asked me to leave haha :) that is soo where im getting my 1st job

OMFG i do it gets so frustrating when you say something from a book or a certain situation reminds you of a book and you start laughing but your non-bookish friends dont get it and you end up looking like some crackhead!
OMG agreed!!! We started talking about ducks one day, (me and non book friends) and I say ; 'never trust a duck.' And start laughing and they look at me like I'm crazy. Just because of that, I'm making them read ID :-D

Most of my friends are bookish andwe read the same books so in class someone will say something and we will relate it to a book and burst with laughter and we look so stupid to the other kidsin class

I have that problem now....before I moved I had a friend who read the same books as me, and we both really loved ID and the bartimaeuos, so we would always have situations where we would see a pigeon or a duck and point it out to each other and laugh. and our other friends are just like "what..."after i moved, ive really missed having someone to share these jokes with.

Typo! Omg it snowed last week! It was crazy! And now it's so nice outside and me and my friends went creeping the neighborhood and some lady sicked her dog on us cause we were standing in front of herhouse and being weird! It was hilarious And that has nothing to do with snow. Sorry my thoughts are crazy
LUCKY! It never snows here! It was actually hot today. It sucked. You have such an exciting life compared to mine. I just sat inside all day studying, watching tv, and going on the computer
