My mother sat down to read a Ken Follett book and she hadn't gotten through the first chapter when she put it down. "I can't read this," she said. "Too many bad words." So what's your opinion on rough language? Does it add to the realism or does it offend you the way it offends my mother?

I'm not usually offended by rough language, but I just finished "Mile Marker Zero" and found the splattering of F-bombs on virtually every page excessive. And you know, I wasn't as offended by quotes from people who evidently used the word as I was by the few times the author used it in his comments. Am I becoming my mother?
