I completely and utterly agree with you both. My little brother lovingly reminds me that I don't to be on goodreads ALL day! :)

I did!! ^_^
Yes!!! I am totally addicted! Ditto about the little brother comment-mine says I have a sure future as a librarian due to my extreme book obsession!:)
Haha! i have no idea what i would do with out Austen. If someone put me in a room with the 6 Austens and the adaptation and something to play them on - i think i would be pretty happy... ;)
I think I would be too:)About little brothers...mine's getting excited about Austen since he just found out that she was the first to write about baseball(his favorite sport)in Northanger Abbey:)
Aww! One of my brothers likes to watch the JA films with my Mom, sisters, & I. He was quite pleased to take a quiz and learn that he "is" Mr. Knightley from Emma ;)

Aww good for him being Knightly - he's one of the best!! ;) and i vary to - Lizzy and also Emma and Marianne ... ;)
I am new here too. It has only been two weeks since I joined Goodreads. I really love it here because you know that other people on here are as addicted to reading as much as you are. Otherwise why even join up. You can join groups about genre's and authors that you love and talk about it all day if you want. I am really enjoying the 2012 book challenge too. I read a lot but I have never counted how many books I read per year.

Hello! I am a huge Austen fan. I've read almost all of her books. I'm currently reading Emma which obviously is going great!! Can't wait to chat with people! :)
Soph wrote: "Hello! Where are you up to with Emma? :) Emma was a Great story! :)"
I actually just picked it up! So I'm only at the point where Emma and Harriet are friends and Emma's plotting to get her with the one gentleman. Mr Knightly is all up in her business HAHA
Soph wrote: "Oh i see!! Haha!! Yes he is! Love knightly though. Him and Emma are funny when they talk together!!"Yeah they definitely have a hilarious way of bantering! I can't wait to read more.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/deborah...I would have considered myself addicted to Jane Austen but I only have a few symptoms. Alas, I must just be a fan. :-)
I thought I was addicted, but I don't have the action figure, and I didn't know there were board books for babies. I'll be checking Amazon for those!
Just checked Amazon for the action figure and they have it new for around $75.00! Or, you can get Oscar Wilde or Charles Dickens for $8.77...
I'm trying to decide if I can wait until Christmas for the board books. Are they as cute as they look, Lisa?
Hi Karlyne,I'm not sure what it looks like, I've posted it directly to her. The pics on google looked good. Although its a board book, it's got simple words for a kid learning to read. There's four classics at present and another four will be released between now and Christmas
I'll probably order mine to be sent direct, too. I'm going to try to wait til Christmas, but they are on my Amazon Wish List now! Maybe I need one at my house, though....
Apparently the Austen figure is no longer made. They have them on eBay but for a lot of money I believe, due to the fact that they don't make them anymore
No actually! I wish I did! I only heard about them literally a few days ago and I was upset to see they aren't made anymore!! :O
I've seen the action figure at some indie bookstores, so maybe there are still some out there (that aren't outrageously priced yet).
The board books are adorable!! I have P&P and Sense and Sensibility for my little girl and she loves them! Zulily happened to have dolls/totes based on the character drawings from the books and I got her a Darcy doll. Oh and Zulilly has great deals on those books sometimes. The Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights ones are great too.

I got her daughter the P&P counting primer. It's so cute and Miss O (a precocious 3 1/2) loves it even now a year and a half later.
I should be getting the Pride and Prejudice paper dolls tomorrow. I'll let you know just how good they are!

Does anyone else find themselves checking on posts and notifications off and on ALL DAY, or randomly referring to the group for every day purposes, ect.?
