Robert Turman (the guy with the roto-guitar form the other post), who was around in the very early days of noise (he was part of NON for the first few recordings in the mid-seventies), as it turns out, is now a DJ about fifteen miles up the road from my house. I gave him stuff Saturday night. Never expected he'd like it enough to play it on the damn radio.I'm getting airplay somewhere other than Za-greb! Kick ass!
(For the record, that Turman-Dilloway collaboration he was playing the rest of the hour is awesome. It's been on infinite repeat in the car all week. Five bucks cheap at Hanson Records.)
Cool stuff Robert. While the whole pure noise scene has always eluded my admiration, and Lord knows I've tried to "get it", I do, of course, like some solid noise, but I like it more in context with melody.
However, sometimes some noisy atmosphere is interesting, and I must say that the few tracks I've heard of yours are interesting, sonically and in terms of composition.
Do you have any full albums available for download?
I'd like to also introduce you to the music of my friend Vance:

I think you will dig his stuff.
