Heres an example to get your juices flowing (this is not an enrty)A chance on the wind
with a whisper so sweet
The scent of an innocent
A cut mark so neat
A lingering kiss
The crane of her head
A feast in the neck
And stranger to bed
Im posting this on behalf of a friend who is having trouble posting stuff onto thread from his ipadHis name is Steve Guest
The place beside the place I lie,
A void of passions flare.
Taken young and taken fresh,
And taken with flesh so fair.
When first we met on sodden ground,
With light taking leave of day.
You trusted me to keep your heart,
And keep all darkness away.
Your faith in me; a trap so set,
My mind twisted, seethed with strife.
And in wedded throws on our first night,
In ecstasy, took that life.
My love is lost through my passions gain,
Till next I find a soul,
That will keep my burning needs so dark,
And pay my desires toll.

What Stays Behind by A. F. Stewart
The lingering scent,
memories of rose petals,
drift in the silence
of an empty room
full of fading ghosts.
Alone again,
with cracked dreams
and a broken heart
thumping, an echo
of that slamming door.
Sitting in the shadows
with disappointment
and the promises dead.
Any hope out of reach,
lost this time, forever.
These are amazing though there's only two...wish i could write a poem but im crap at them....ill wait for short story comps instead.
“The Wine Speaks”By Carrie Clevenger
I've drank all my belly will entreat,
but your ghost won't stop tickling my feet
as I step on broken glass,
and old photographs
Taken of me at fifteen.
With a drowsing head
among the sleeping dead,
and the cat-calls in the dark,
I bravely embark
On this lonely trip of self-discovery.
Engulfed in my personal misery
I sift through the bones
of the broken homes,
and what I had time-after-time,
and the destinies entwined.
I feel so heavy
at times
like these;
pink butterflies flutter in my
chest cavity.
I can't help but think
I've already passed the brink
of my inhibitions,
and the secret admissions
of the finest hells;
Oh yes, the wine compels.
Turn the next page
to re-engage:
I embrace
your face
in my memory;
A distant city
where I used to live.
I've yet to forgive
how it came to pass:
You filled your own glass
of wine
and left mine
empty.
Figured I would give it a shot :)Lost

Darkness surounds us
deep and thick
suffocating yet inviting
quietly the world moves
while we hold our breath
waiting
safety is so close
his hand reaches out
fingers stretching
almost grasping
he pulls me close
loves embrace
Fear igniting passion
then suddenly an angry cry
the creature has found us
we run but there is no hope
it is on us
safety a passing dream
alone I stand shaking
knowing that he is gone
lost to the monster
his screams inside my head
and that I am sureley next
