I love Edward, I wish I had been alive in 1901...
I don't really like Edward... He seems kind of stalker-ish to me, personally.
Yeah in the beginning of the book he did seem weird, I have to admit
I know a lot of readers don't like Edward but for me, he'll always be my first book-bf. :)If it wasn't for Stephanie Meyer's Twilight, I wouldn't have known there was such a genre as YA.
(shameful on my part but yes, its true).
Twilight is my first YA book and I devoured every minute of it.
Right now I have tons of other book-bfs but Edward will still have a special place in my heart. :)

The very very first time I read the books, I didn't like Bella at all and Edward was just very amazing in my eyes because back then I didn't realize that his actions were actually very stalkerish. But then after I realized that, I was a little "turned off" by him. (view spoiler)And now, I'm not really sure where I stand with him. O.o he's a great guy with good intentions sometimes but sometimes his actions just make me look at the books with a face of disbelief and horrified humor.

I liked Edward in the books .... hated Robert Patterson in the movies.

I always pictured Edward more like the actor Jared Padalecki (he plays Dean on Supernatural) or even Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore)

I think I'm alone on this thread in finding Edward too controlling and borderline (if not full-fledged) abusive.
