I'll start this thread rolling by asking those who read the book: Did you have very clear ideas of abortion or adoption before you read it? Did reading the book change your mind or at the very least allow you to consider other options?
I had a clear opinion about abortion - that it may be sad and wrong, but sometimes the alternatives are more sad and wrong. Sometimes there no good solutions, just least bad solutions. Also that no-one should ever try and tell a woman what to do with her body. Abortion is not a matter for legislation.
This is my favourite of your books, Jessica, because it is real.
Thank you, M! I appreciate it. It's my favorite, too.
I have a facebook page dedicated to this book, and on that page, I sometimes hold discussions. I'd like to have the same sort of discussion on this page.
So, here we go!
Who is the character you like the most and why?
And who is the character you like the least and why?

This is perhaps the most controversial of my novels. It deals with hot button issues like abortion, adoption and religion. It also deals with teen pregnancy, substance abuse and neglect. It's not an easy read, but that's why I like it. The main goal of this book is to make people consider other viewpoints. We all have very strong opinions on the matter, but reading Six Weeks might make you decide that not every problem has one solution.
Have you read it? What do you think?
Caution-this thread will most likely contain spoilers...
