I got halfway through the first book and got B.O.R.E.D. And I'm not usually one to say this, but - THEFILMWASSOMUCHBETTA!
*gasps louder and longer than needed* Hey! I loved the series. Maybe it's cause I have a thing for myths, or maybe because Percy was twelve instead of 16 like in other books
Hmm. I'm sorry, it was just my opinion. I thought it was funny and clever and all. Just a little boring.
I AM IN LOVE WITH HIM <3<3<3 I AM HIS BIGGEST FAN AND THERE IS NO DENYING ANY OF IT!!!!!!! <3<3<3<3<3<3

The books are about four stars, all over. The new series is much better, and I like the Kane Chronicles much more.
My little brother is obsessed with anything by Rick Riordan, mostly because of me introducing Percy Jackson to him.
I'VE READ THE MARK OF ATHENA! Oh my GODS it was so awesome! :DI've read the series so much that I've got all the books memorised in my head like a series installed in my brain. :) Now I just need to get The Kane Chronicles, The Lost Hero, The Son of Neptune and The Mark of Athena memorised too. They're all brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
I can never get tired of this series. Never.
The Kane Chronicles is good too. I like Anubis. :)
Anyone else notice how the descriptions of Nico Di Angelo, Anubis and Fang are all creepily similar? Because I sure did. Its making the plot-bunnies go crazy.
Yeah. :( Walt is okay but Anubis wins every time for me. I was a little annoyed at how the love-triangle problem between Anubis, Walt and Sadie was resolved but I guess it was the best way to resolve it considering how any other solution would have sent some fans on a murderous rampage over it.
I
LOVE
THE SERIES! IT'S AWESOME! I GOT ONE OF MY FRIENDS OBSESS!Percy Jackson was the first book series I've read and it kinda was the reason why I started to get into reading!

I enjoyed it. I don't know. I LOVED THE ENDING, I THOUGHT IT WAS SO GOOD! But I didn't cry. My brother thought I would, but I didn't.
I LOVED the ending also. :) But it was also very frustrating-it was like watching The Deathly Hallows part 1 then having to wait AGES for part too to come out, CONSTANTLY contemplating that annoying cliffie since they pratically CUT THE STORY HALF WAY THROUGH.The other two books, The Lost Hero and The Son of Neptune both ended once the quest had ended. However, in The Mark of Athena they ended the book half way through the quest! Gods it was the most frustrating of endings...but at the same time it was a really great place to end it.
((SPOILERZ!))
I just cant believe that Annabeth and Percy fell into Tartarus! Its like they've gone all the way full circle back to The Lightning Thief where they NEARLY got sucked in by Grovers flying shoes and Percys dreams about Kronos trying to pull himself out of Tartarus through Percy and Percy having to brace himself so he didnt fall in except this time he DID! :D Literally the 'fallen hero'. (Anyone know where I pulled that quote from? :D)
The Lightning Thief in Percys dream where Kronos showed him a 'vision' of what would happen should he continue on his quest. Where he was in Hades throne room and saw his mother there and reached out to her and saw his hand was turning all skeletal and these skeletons put a wreathe of thorns coated in Chimera poison on his head and a cloak and Kronos laughed and said 'All hail the fallen hero' or something along the lines of that. :) I have all of the Percy Jackson books more or less memorised in my brain. I can read them whenever I like whether I have the books or my kindle or not. XD
Yeah I have no life.
lol It's OK, I'm the same about Harry Potter and Buffy (not the books, the show. I've memorized, for example, all of Once More With Feeling, the best episode in the history of Buffy, from beginning to end, WITH the music.)
This series was one of my favourite! Percy was really cool although at last, he wasn't the real hero...Still, he's always the hero in my mind. <3

XD My memory is usually rubbish but it does do well when it comes to subjects of deep interest. Something important for my future like Maths however? Nah. :/ Its amazing how much a person can remember when they really want to. Sherlocks Mind Palace doesnt sound all that ridiculous when you think about it that way. :)
I don't have anything completely memorized, I have too much in my head to do that. But whole sections of HP and DW and various books:D not to mention the most random things from the most random TV shows - everything from Once Upon A Time to Castle.
Yeah I remember a lot of random things which often means I forget the important things. :/ We need Sherlock Holmes to teach us how to create a mind-palace. It would make GCSE's a whole lot easier. XD
What sort of random things do you remember? Because I watched The Nutty Professor recently and the only thing thats stuck in my brain is how the cover on the bird cage kept appearing then dissapearing frequently in the exact same scene-making it glaringly obvious that they had shot the scene at two seperate times and forgotten about that minute detail. XD
XD I dont know how to explain GCSE's...they come before taking your A levels-before you go to college...Its basically a bunch of exams you take or something...I've already got one under by belt. I got a B in my humanities exam: An A* in history, a C in geography, a C in religious studies and an A in my controlled assessment. I also took one of my Chemistry and Biology exams and got an A* in Chemistry and an A in Biology.
In my spanish exam I accidentally missed my listening exam but I got the highest level in my spanish reading exam which is kinda funny because I got through the exam by using guess-work and common-sense only. My spanish is actually a lot more limited than my grade makes it out to be. XD Well my maths teacher is always saying my instincts are something to be admired. :)
No offense, but I didn't want your grades:D That's not how I judge a person and unless I have common grounds to compare to them I prefer not to know it at all. I just wanted to know what they stand for. For example, I know pretty much what the SATs are what with popular culture and TV shows and books etc... But I've never heard of these.
Meh. Im just proud of my grades. *Shrugs* And I have a bad habit of prattling on for too long. Sorry.
