Rachel Eliason (RachelEliason) | 102 comments I have a strange request for you. Would you be willing to read a not yet published book? I would love to share my upcoming book with you. It's called Run, Clarissa, Run. It is about a trans youth from small town Iowa.
I would love to get some more feedback about the story and if you like it maybe you could post something about the kickstarter project I am doing to raise money for editing and stuff. You can message me on Goodreads or email me at racheleliason@gmail.com if you are interested. Thanks for offering to do reviews.

Sandee is Reading (sandeeisreading) Yeah sure! :D No problem. I'd love to.

If you're self publishing, you practically need to do it as the more you read your own work the less you see the mistakes. Plus if you're a good enough writer that people get caught up in the reading, many will simply let their brain "fix" mistakes so they can keep going if they're not practiced editors. The more people read, the more likely they'll spot things others read through.

(btw: If Fantasti*Conlooks like your kind of novel I might have a review copy available)

Mirvan. Ereon (mirvanereon) | 209 comments Hello everyone. I am John Marvin Enore. I have written three poetry collections. they are all sad erotic gay poetry. If you're interested with my books, please send me a message and i can give you a sampler. The tiles are CYPHILIA, ARGELLIUS REX and L'AMOUR DE MOI. I'll be waiting. I will soon give out a free ebook of my short novella entitled The Suicide Pact. It is about how the world was created, why do we die, what horrors did God's children unleashed into this Earth, why suicides get a second chance to live, a failed abortion, cannibalism, violence and someone jumping out of the window. The first person who will give me a review will get a pdf version of one of my poetry collections.

if anyone is interested, Lizzie's Journal is about a promiscuous, trouble-making 16-yr old girl who moves to a new town and tries to straighten out. She meets Lizzie, the ghost of a 16-yr old girl murdered in the house to which Jane just moved. Lizzie was murdered, her boyfriend is in jail, but he didn't do it. Lizzie knows how to prove who did it, but she'll need Jane's guts and "know how." But first, she'll have to convince Jane to believe her.

if you'd like a copy, let me know and i'll send you a word/mobi/whatever you like.

Lizzie's Journal by R.M. Voza

Kathryn wrote: "One thing: Do you have a time-line? Dead line?"

no no no. you're doing me a favor. you take your time. no rush. i just want you to enjoy it and perhaps show me where i can make it better. i'm currently working on another ghost story, and my brother is reading is for me, actually just finished. but the only feedback i get from him is, "that was really good." and that's nice, but i need more things about what did not work, what did not make sense. however - i am grateful to anyone for even just a "that was really good." it's a still a privilege to get that much.

I live for beta-readers. I love my beta-readers. :) I just never thought of asking for them on Goodreads before. I guess in retrospect it's probably strange that I hadn't.

If anyone else would be interested in reading the novel, send me a message. It's called Run, Clarissa, Run. It's the story of trans youth in small town Iowa. She is a smart, a computer hacker and has to contend with abuse at school over her identity and a lecherous older man.

Rob, I would be glad to look at and review your novel. I have been to several Midwest sci-fi cons and the story looks interesting. (and familiar.)

Great! Yes, there's a code number for a free download to use at checkout (listed on the book's page) on Smashwords that's good until the 10th.
If you can't get to it by then, e-mail me for a new code whenever you'd like! :) Thanks!

I would post it on Smashmouth but I'm not sure how that will jive with Amazon's "Exclusive" thing that they do for KDP.

Hey, Rachel, I have made a promise to read ONLY indie books in 2012. I would love to beta read for you. I would be more than happy to leave reviews here and on amazon. As an author, I know how it is to get your foot in the door. (I try everyday not to give up and bow out) Shoot me a message if your interested.

Cheers!

R.M. Gilmore (rmgilmore) | 27 comments A note on "YA":

Unfortunately, I have a drunken potty mouth, thus, NO YA here. I do appreciate the young adult genre, and even like to read it when well written. But, I have found SO many reviewers who "refuse" to read anything but "YA".

Also, I am indie (I write, edit (I have beta readers and editors who love me and do it for free), and publish my books all by my lonesome.) and I have found finding reviewers who are interested in reading my "Indie-non-YA-book" few and far between.

Anyone want to review it? The Scene (Dylan Hart Odyssey of The Occult Series Book #1) by R.M. Gilmore I've heard it's pretty good. :)

Cheers

Hey Rich! I'd actually like to check out your book. We had so many lovely discussions regarding narrative, you have caused curiosity with regard to your work.

If we created anything with our civilized "discussion" it was a "buzz", eh?

I'll check out your work.

Cheers.

Kind of depressed today. Someone posted a 1 star rating with no review here on Goodreads. Messed up my 5 star average. Not sure if its accurate or not, but it didn't make my day.

Actually it's on SALE this weekend for only 99cents! Not too shabby for a first-person indie book ;)
