The Initiation / The Captive Part I question

I LOVED TSC books but I am also LOVING TSC the TV series. For different reasons of course. I loved the innocence of the characters in the books, but also the sheer darkness of the characters in the TV show.

I stopped watching 'The Secret Circle' after the first couple of episodes. I don't like shows where the "mean girls" are the heroines.

I like TVD, though - even though it's really different from the books. It'll be really interesting if they translate Shinichi and Misao from Nightfall onto the TV series.

I have not watched or read Pretty Little Liars, so I can't give an opinion on that.

I read the Vampire Diaries and thought the books were pretty bad. The first couple books were okay, then the rest were all over the place. I threw them in my "never to be read again" pile. About a year or show after I read them I heard the books were being adapted to TV. I figured I would give it a try and I'm so glad I did. The show is sooooo much better than the books. I never miss an episode.

Now, I was completely opposite with The Secret Circle. I loved the books and couldn't wait until the first episode of the show. I figured it would be awesome just like TVD. I couldn't have been more wrong. I stopped watching the show after the first few episodes. The adaptation was just awful.

I enjoy the difference the books have from the tv shows..Tv shows have to be different they cant always be the same..Plus that's why the say when the show first came out The Secret Circle based on the novels by L.J. Smith..BASED ladies and gentlemen..So the bottom line is...If you don't like the show then don't watch it! But if you do watch it then please enjoy it as I sure am..As are many others out there.. ;]

I have to admit, i like TSC a lot better than the book, but PLL is not as good as the book series

More than not I enjoy the books more than the television / movie adaptation. TSC was no different. They should have called it something completely different if they were going to change it that much. I also must add I truly dislike when a different author is brought in to 'continue a series'. The books that came out as an afterthought by a different author should have started anew rather than try to pick up where it was left off. I enjoyed the original books.

I read the beginning, but didn't finish. I will over the summer, but I love the show.

i really like 'the secret circle' as book seriess... it was cutee... dont like the show that muchhhh though....

That's like asking me to pick between my right and left hand. Even though the Secret Circle is sadly cancelled I still loved the show and the book. The same thing goes for PLL well not the cancelling thing. Both were amazing. The thing I'm most happy about though is the fact that they changed the looks for the characters in Prettly Little Liars.

I Love the Vampire Diaries tv show but the first couple of books aren't that great. I haven't read the later ones but to be honest I have tried reading the 3rd book and just can't get past the beginning. The Secret Circle books by J.L Smith are completely the opposite. I loved the books and really want more....and the series I didn't like all that much. Although I did hear that it got better before it was cancelled.

i thought the PPL and TSC tv series were much better than the books. but the TVD books were just horrible. the tv series was surprisingly nice.

Okay, I'm going to be honest here. I think the Vampier Dierays are good. But the Secert Cricle? i tryed watching it when it came on, and it SUCKED!!! they did almost EVERTHING wrong. So in other words i dont think every book should be truned into and show\movie..

Ugh I know, they don't adapt well at all.
