I was on it for a short while, then read an article about possible copyright issues with what people pin, so I deleted everything I had out there and deactivated my account.
I'm on it too! I love it, particularly for pinning favourite recipes :)http://pinterest.com/pixieauthoress/
You two make a very adorable couple Rachel! :) Have you been using Pinterest to find creative, inexpensive wedding ideas?
Thanks! :)Sadly not - I only joined Pinterest in February and since our wedding is in July it's pretty much all been organised. In the UK you typically need to book the venue at least 1 year in advance, and bands and flowers maybe 6 months. We really don't have much left to do except choose the food for the meal and the songs for the church!
Look at you being on top of the planning! How exciting though that you only have to count down to July!!! :)
I'm on it too. I love it, didn't realise there was a copyright problem though....??www.pinterest.com/lynnekc

There are some photographers and artists who got annoyed at people pinning their photographs without permission and not giving them credit. A lot of people are worried about getting sued over this, but considering how many people use Pinterest I think it's very unlikely that any suing will ever happen. Plus, I mainly pin recipes. If a photograph obviously has a (c) symbol on it then maybe I'd be wary.
I know, only 4 months now!
Guess I'm just a big scaredy cat then!
I really think if anything, someone who sues will go after Pinterest itself, rather than individual users. Pinterest is where the money is at, it would take a LOT of work to get a decent amount of money from individual users.

If you wanted to sue one person who pinned your picture, you'd probably have to sue several hundred other people as well, and it would take a lot of effort to actually get anywhere.
Elizabeth, the articles on the subject did seem kind of scary though. I know a lot of people have deleted their accounts just in case. But... I'm British. We don't go around suing people a lot over here. It's just not part of our culture! So that's why I'm not scared of being sued, LOL. Maybe I should be more concerned?
It's sort of like what is happening with the music industry and illegal music downloading. Originally they tried to go after individual users, but weren't getting much money in damages so now they're going after the websites themselves, like PirateBay.
I love pinterest! I use it mostly for recipes and books. I'm following all who posted their sites. Anyone who wants to is welcome to follow me too.
