My humor tends to straddle the line between offensive and funny, so I never know if something's okay to share or not.

I'd like to think I tend to err on the side of caution, but occasionally, I'll throw caution to the wind and post something anyway. Truth be told, though, I have no radar for this sort of thing.

For example, I posted this on FB a few weeks ago because it made me LOL... but then I felt bad because several people found it offensive, tacky, etc... I knew it on some level... totally cringeworthy... so I ended up removing it & wishing no one saw it.

I always wanted a place to test something as offensive or funny before I posted it. And I thought you guys are brilliant. My radar is off... you may be the best jury for this sort of thing.

With that said, I thought a thread for us to survey for offensive/funny might be a good thing? I hope I'm not opening a can of worms that'll make me regret having started this thread...

Joking about a celeb death is a little hard to gauge. That's the kind of thing I would leave to others. I won't say it's never, ever funny....some people can pull it off, other people can't. I wouldn't broadcast a celeb death joke to a huge, undifferentiated audience like on FB.
