Zach walked into science.

Jared stood outside the door, his arms crossed.

Zach glanced at Jared, "What?"

"What what?" Jared replied to Zach, peering over his shoulders.

Zach chuckled, "Your just standing there. I was asking why."

"Well, I'm waiting for the bell to ring, then I'll enter. Doing that would make me late," he grinned.

Zach laughed, turning back to the front of the room.

Jared thought for a second, "weren't you the guy in the dining hall earlier? The one who has a muffin?"

Zach burst out laughing, slamming his fist on the table.

Jared smirked, "weirdo."

"Oh, great! Class is over!" Jared chuckled and headed to the dining hall.

Alex went to get lunch

Ilan came inside and looked around with grim expression.

Erika stepped into the room, biting her lip. Her hands fidgeted. She hoped she wouldn't have another accident like she did at her old school. She hurried to a seat, her backpack hitting the floor. Butterflies fluttered in her stomach.

He looked around calmly before having a seat.

Erika's eyes darted up to watch Ilan sit down.

He ignored the girl that was here and opened his book starting to read.

She nodded to herself. She'll be just another girl. An outcast again. Slumping down in her chair, she dug through her bag for a notebook. Opening it up, she started doodling.

As soon as he reached the end of first chapter, he closed the book and sighed heavily

Erika glanced back at Ilan one more time. She winced as she realized that she would actually have to talk to people at this school.

Ilan looked at her and raised a brow, "What?"

"Nothing," she muttered, her face going red with embarrassment. She hoped he hadn't noticed her looking.

"Why were you looing at me then?" He asked turning in his seat

"I was just... watching you come into the room, that's all," she answered.

"Only? You were staring at me." Ilan frowned slightly

"I told you what I was doing," Erika replied. "I was just watching you come into the room."

As Steven walked in he noticed the drama. "What's wrong?" said Steven.

"Exactly." Ilan nodded and looked at Steven with questioning look.

Erika's face grew red.

"What can you do?" He asked her

"I have energy... bursts," she mumbled. "You?"

"Mimic moves." He shrugged

"Ah." She turned her attention back to her journal.

Ilan raised a brow, "What's your name?"

"Erika," she answered. "You?"

"Ilan." He replied with slight smile

Erika smiled back.

"What do you mean by energy bursts?" He raised a brow

"Like, waves of energy come out of my hands." She shrugged. "It's kind of lame, really."

"I see." Ilan nodded settling his legs on his desk

Erika started doodling again.

"Where is the teacher?" Ilan sighed

"I was wondering the same thing," Erika mumbled.

"Anyways, can you fight?" He asked standing up

"I haven't really practiced," she answered, her face growing red with embarrassment. She felt so stupid, not knowing how to fight.

"I could teach you if you want." He shrugged

"Really?" she asked.
