I would love to, at the grand old age of 30, master the art of being able to read in the bath.

I think I need a book that hovers at eye sight, I just forget my hands are wet and then I get soggy pages! Not attempted using the kindle as terrified it was fall in. I also manage to get in the bath and have the book just out of arms reach because I don't want it falling in!

It just looks so relaxing to be able to do this.

you could get a waterproof kindle cover - I've been thinking of getting one:)

This is what I do - Before I get in the bath I put my towel and my book right next to the bath, then when I'm fully in the bath I reach over dry my hand on the towel then pick up the book. When I'm finished reading I'll gently toss the book near the bathroom door so it doesn't get wet while I'm washing and getting out. Don't know if this helps?

I think I get cold so I go under the warm water. Also still fascinated by water at my grand old age and can't help but play!

Does anyone drink/eat/smoke whilst in the bath or is that just the movies?

It fits all kindles - it's just like a thick ziplock thinger. I will eventually get one but right now I do much the same as Sam. I don't take bath's often though - I feel restricted after running round all day and I overheat:)

Oooh Kirsty that looks perfect! There is plenty of timber and power tools lying on the floor across the room might ask my crazy boy to see if he will help build one for me!

I'm too busy reading forums and reading up on lush.....must focus and try and start the discovery of witches again because I think I will really like it.

Oh I think I know what you mean...I got something similar for my phone incase I fell into the channel whilst filming my boyfriend kayak across it for charity. Good shout will keep my eyes peeled for that.

Read the Kindle in the bath for the first time....so much easier than books. Was just scared of technology and water mixing.

that's pretty much exactly what I do. I have one of those trays, too, but I rarely use it.

and yes, I do drink in the bath. I take long baths, so I always have cup of tea or a glass of water standing next to me.

My boyfriend brings me things to eat and drink in the bath....it feels weird but at the same time I could get used to that. Baths were for washing in and not relaxing.

When I was younger I used to smoke cigarettes and drink wine in the bath, I thought I was so "Upperclass" nevermind the fact that I don't even like wine. I forced myself as it seemed so refined hahaha! I was like this is my house I shall do what I like and this is what refined ladies do... Ahhh to be 17 again ;)

I always read in the bath. Hefty books aren't so good though!

Waterproof kindle cover? You mean such a thing exists?? That's been my main argument *against* getting a Kindle.. If I drop my book in the bath, it's a few swear words, fish it out, and wait for the book to dry, but dropping a Kindle when I'm reading in the bath would be a lot of swear words, and a fried Kindle...

I have a padded case and a hard case (which I never really use - need to find where the kids put my torch). I need a new case though cause my soft case was just a cheapy and is looking a bit sad.
I love these cases.

Keep tempting me - I may yet invest in a Kindle....

These are the features I love. I also love the search function and being able to highlight text which I would never do with a book.

I have to admit, the Twitter & Facebook bits I wouldn't use, as I don't subscribe to either... The convienence option appeals to me, but if I'm honest, I think I'll stick to paperbacks for the time being... (Especially as I can't get Waterstones point on e-books yet!)

I use Nectar points. I still buy books from marketplace and love charity shop hunting - can't quibble with books for £1:)

I'm a floozy, and use both! Got to admit, some of my best buys have been charity shop books, and once I've read them, I return them to the shop, so they get to re-sell them again.

Do you need wi-fi to download to a Kindle Touch, or can you download to a PC and then transfer? I've read all sorts of conflicting advice, and I'm really not sure who to believe anymore!

I use wi-fi for mine but you can download and transfer from a pc, it just takes a bit longer.

I've got the white kindle and I love it, although my Mum bought me an iPad a whie back and I use Kindle on there too especially at night as it is backlit. I do pick up paper books too. Need to figure out how to get Nectar points via Amazon, I still forget about that.

I use the nectar toolbar - then I get points for searching too (think the limit is 100). It just redirects you to the nectar site where you have to click on amazon and remember that points expire.
