Sandi *~The Pirate Wench~* (thepiratewench) I have SO many Pirate Romance/fiction books on my TBR list that it's time to dig into my "booty"
So here's the books Im going to "try" and widdle down on this challenge,in no particular order and I may replace with another read depending on my mood which III make note of what I read.

1) The Wrong Kind of Paradise by Suzie Grant Have read/finished & reviewed

Molly September by Maggie Secara A cruel harvest by Paul Reid Worthy of a Pirate's Love by Amanda Broadbeck The Bride of Blackbeard by Brynn Chapman Pirate of My Heart A Novel by Jamie Carie The Guise of a Gentleman (Rogue Hearts, #2) by Donna Hatch Once Upon a Pirate by Nancy Block Pleasuring the Pirate by Emily Bryan The Captain's Doxy by Lafayette Hammet Pirate Spirit The Adventures of Anne Bonney by Jeffery S. Williams Cat O' Nine Tails by Patricia Leever Fire on Dark Water by Wendy K. Perriman Sea Star The Private Life of Anne Bonney, Pirate Queen by Pamela Jekel Anne Bonny by Chloe Gartner

Ok..havent had much luck in dwindling the Pirate reads down,so Im adding some "replacements" and or mixing it up so this is what Ive chosen:

Pieces of Sky (Blood Rose, #1) by Kaki Warner Open Country (Blood Rose, #2) by Kaki Warner Chasing the Sun (Blood Rose, #3) by Kaki Warner Heartbreak Creek (Runaway Brides #1) by Kaki Warner Colorado Dawn (Runaway Brides, #2) by Kaki Warner Bride of the High Country (Runaway Brides, #3) by Kaki Warner Night Fire (Night Trilogy, #1) by Catherine Coulter Night Shadow (Night Trilogy, #2) by Catherine Coulter Night Storm (Night Trilogy, #3) by Catherine Coulter

I was just double checking since I didn't see it in your TBR challenge. I will be counting it in mine and if I can get Ron to join the TBR challenge he can count it as well.

Dawn (& Ron) (furryreaders) | 456 comments I just added the buddy read of Fire on Dark Water to our challenge list and asked if anyone else wanted to join. Any ideas when we may want to do this one? I put the date as sometime this year for now.

Say when..I can free myself up and III work around that/finish up if Im already reading something, but maybe would like to join you and Misfit with Ride With Me by Thomas B. Costain

Dawn (& Ron) (furryreaders) | 456 comments I'll add you to the Costain read. Do you have a copy already? Misfit warned me about the text close into the spine on the hardcover so I'm trying to get a PB but keep having terrible luck.

I've got to check on some other reads and I'm supposed to be helping out with homeschooling for my nieces so I'm trying to get that schedule ironed out, and check with Ron.

Yes I have PB copies of all his books.

Dawn (& Ron) (furryreaders) | 456 comments ALL his books! Well, aren't you lucky. I'm having a heck of a time getting a copy of Rode With Me and the library has none, all 12 branches not one copy of this book. I'm now trying my third order, hopefully it is the lucky one.

Yes I got lucky at a UBS one day..they were in the "men's reading section" LOL!

Dawn (& Ron) (furryreaders) | 456 comments I just found this post, drives me crazy all these notifications I don't get.

In the men's section, that is funny. Did they have all the women's authors in the women's section and vice versa? Sorry, just couldn't resist asking that. LOL

Dawn (& Ron) (furryreaders) | 456 comments No way! Are you serious? That would certainly reinforce the old myth that men can't write for women and there is no way women could possibly write anything that a man would read.

This is how he set his store up..HC-Women,HC-Men and the same with the paperbacks..I just went wherever the heck I wanted..oh..and get this the womens books were MORE expensive!

That's because women are worth more, right?

There you go..:D

Dawn (& Ron) (furryreaders) | 456 comments What a positive way to look at that Hayes ;o) but so very curious. I am not surprised when you said it was a man who owned the store. Did that mean all genres were lumped together too? At least they were alphabetical, I hope.

Yes they were, and I have to say its actually easier to find a certain books this way when you have in mind what your after.

Dawn (& Ron) (furryreaders) | 456 comments Fiction, non-fiction everything separated by the sex of the author? That makes it easy classifying things for him doesn't it? I wonder what he does with authors who have pseudonyms opposite to their sex or that use initials and have no photo or bios.

I think it's funny, I'm still having difficulty getting that one Thomas Costain book and you got all of them in one shot ;o)

Dawn (& Ron) (furryreaders) | 456 comments May take you up on that depending on how I like Costain.

Got the confirmation today that Tara's Song will be mailed at the end of the week. Keep your fingers crossed that it is a good copy.
